Please consider doing more watercolor videos in the coming weeks. In NY with underlying health conditions I’ve been in the house several weeks already! Truly appreciate your time and talent! Stay healthy!❤️
Thank you Lindsay. I, like everyone else, am home practicing social distancing. I have brand new paints that I have had for a few weeks. I broke them out today and played with them. I stopped and came upstairs to watch this tutorial. Learned lots since I was trying to do water and some fanciful fish.
Lindsay I think You Tube was made for YOU. Your ability to coach and teach in a video while painting is amazing. I watch a lot of tutorials and the level of detail of instruction in your videos far exceeds almost any other artist. I’m very appreciative of your ability to transfer your thoughts, especially about perspective, into words while we see the demonstration. You really broke this painting down for us and I thank you for that! Stay safe and healthy!
I am a big fan of Florida landscapes and seascapes done in the Highwaymen style, I really enjoyed your tropical painting and hope you do a lot more. I have always enjoyed your helpful commentary while painting. If you don't have a lot of sun up in Maine right now be sure to take a lot of vitamin D3 and C to keep your immune system healthy. Thumbs up!
I love to follow along with your tutorials and I have painted some wonderful paintings thanks to you. I don’t know what non-artsy people are doing right now. Thank goodness for your classes and tutorials! My 3 yr old grandson watched the first part of this video with me and was surprised to see the sky and water develop into something he could recognize. Yes, I have started teaching him to paint. 🥰
Thanks Lindsay. Holy crap, lol. A quick beach scene is bloody perfect! The grandkids are up my butt every 5 minutes. I start something and boom; hey nanna, nanna look. Nanna can we do this or that, nanna watch this. Trying to limit their video games so they won't be brain dead when school opens again. I may crack and let them on the xbox for 30 minutes just so I can do a painting.🙃🥴🤪👍💜
The world is such a scary Place these days.... Thank you for taking me on a holiday for a moment! My mindscape really needed that! Hope everything is well With you and your loved ones. Hug from Norway
How beautiful this painting is! Everything about it is wonderful! Thank you Lindsay for another chance to watch you paint. Hope you and your family stay well!
G rated, indeed! Just what we all needed today in this scary time. Lol! Please stay safe and well. Wishing you and yours the best! Tomorrow is the first day of spring. Maybe things in the world will brighten up!
Love it. Had an idea - The Frugal Teenager- record your kids doing this very thing, as I guess they are isolated with you, for other teenager & terrified adults, with combined voiceover. Would be fun, for us at least. What interesting times we are in. God bless.
If you have to be staying at home it’s the perfect time to search through old Friday live videos. Maybe you could do some impromptu lives with your daughters working the live stream like you have done in the past. Nothing has to be perfect, just LOVE watching your live painting tutorials. Best med for self quarantine❤️♥️ Oh and absolutely loved this beach scene. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Loved this! After a stressful day of going to 4 grocery stores to get everything I needed, but not one square of toilet paper, this was nice and relaxing to watch. Thank you!
As always lindsay you are the greatest.A quote from Ansel Adams. “You don't take a photograph, you make it”,you lindsay can absolutely make them.it seems you have photographic memory when it comes to art especially in watercolors, thank you Lindsay for sharing your beautiful Talent,I have been following you for a long time and it seems you never Tire of this.Beautiful video beautiful presentation.❤😊😀👍🐦
Really enjoyed this painting, we had to come back to Canada early this year from AZ and now are looking at snow so this cheered me up on day 9 of our isolation! TFS
My friend had to go to Florida and get her Canadian parents packed and out before the borders shut down and their travel insurance was cancelled. It was crazy!
This was a great service to parents and others concerned about occupying ourselves over the coming month(s). I work at Michaels and see the determination to find creative outlets in the few shoppers we are having .
Thank you for posting another wonderful video for us during these trying times. This gives me inspiration for making more art to take my mind off more stressful things during this coronavirus outbreak. Stay safe and wishing you and your loved ones the best :)
I lobe how you say TEACH EM HOW TO PAINT! 🤣🤣 I dont paint but I watched one of your vids bout jewelry making and I do a lot of scrapbooking...but while I'm doing that I watch you paint. You are like a Bob Ross to me. You are so fun and its so satisfying to watch you. You are so talented and spunky! 💖💖 thank you for sharing and stay safe
I find myself wanting to learn how to watercolor lately. I've never done it and I don't have materials.. so I'm going to scour your channel for all the info I need.. from what stuff to get for beginners, to (hopefully) more how-to videos like this one! Thank you for this! :)
I love this!! Now I know what I want to paint today.....a tropical beach scene that will take me away ( in my mind) for a while. Having been self quarantined since Sunday, and hearing nothing but bad news, really does stress you out. I’m so looking forward to painting this. It’s like that old commercial...Calgon, take me away... However, in this case, it’s Lindsay.... takin me away! Thank you so much for posting this....I really needed it today😍
Such a lovely painting! Makes me want to hit the beach! I have to say....I seriously DO NOT NEED another set of watercolor...but that tin is freaking adorable! Soo..I will watch the review when you upload it...and I will try really hard to talk myself out of buying this palette for JUST the tin. Haha!
@@annettefournier9655 We are all okay in my area. I was gonna tell you to paint a pair of wide open eyes on your eyelids so you can lay your head back and shut your eyes. The grandkids will still think you're paying attention when they want you to "look at this!" I thought it was quite kind of them to only interrupt you 11 times. Haha. Be safe, be well.

‘Holy Crap’ I seriously busted our laughing! My hubby makes videos on my channel sometimes, crap is his favorite word, ugh...But the watchers think he’s funny 😂😂😂. Big hugs dear one!
Ahh! Thank you Lindsay! Such a lovely painting of the tropics! Brightened my rainy Ohio day! :) Also..."Holy Crap" is my go to phrase! Haha! That cracked me up! 😄😄😄

Those paints look pretty good. Can't wait for the review. I've always shied away from seascapes, but I think I might just give this a try (or at least incorporate your techniques). Like you said, "It's only a piece of paper." We are into our 2nd week here in Germany ----- weird times. It's good to stay busy with art projects in between the craziness.
It would be awesome to have a watercolor live this week...given everything that's going on... help our minds...I wish I could see how you were painting the leaves that is tough for me and I can only see your hand moving...it blocked everything...it might be the paper is small bc that usually doesnt happen
Beautiful as always! Reminds me of the video that made me take up watercolor, your 4-color coastal landscape with only a flat brush--similar unity in this piece. I remember when I learned prussian blue + burnt sienna make a cool, earthy green instead of a gray; I love it as I think it's hard to get that using a phthalo green or sap green. Stay safe and well, my mentor and friend.
This is beautiful Lindsay, and yes I agree - you make it look so easy. I hope you and yours are doing well. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

Great painting. :) BTW, I found 10x7 Paul Rubens 100% Cotton, watercolor sketch pads on Aliexpress, for about $20. They call the 10x7 size 16k. It says 20 sheets (40 pages) and you can paint on both sides too. I also found the blocks at the 15x10 inch size but that's at $43.
