I totally get what you mean. I am also a western, and I prefer for example j-rock as well. Even it is both rock, you can actually hear the differents. I couldn't find the words for it, thank you.
JShock sells D'espairsRay's Mirror and The Underneath's Moon Flower albums, as well as D'espas Spiral Staircase tour DVD in Hot Topic and Fye, they are fucktons cheaper through JShock than they would be as Imports. Go out and buy what they -do- sell in US stores and show your support for JRock in America.
I'm going to fangirl scream in 5....4....3....2...1....eeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! I Looooooovvvvvveeeee yoooouuuuu HIZUUUUMMMIII KUN! eeeeeeeeyyyyyaaaaahhhh! they need to come back to the U.S. and soon so I can see them again!
i think that translator was having a hard time remembering what they said lol. i got to see them too the day before that. It was pretty kool i was able to talk to them and they are really nice. Hizumi and Zero are really funny and giggly haha. oh and Karyu wears the best perfume in the world o.o i smelled him for like a week after the concert. xD
wait did they play the song in englidh or not ????/ i cant understand a dam word ...i listened to that song like 5 times and i never herd the word redemer ...nothing that even remotly sounded like the word
00Vazquez - Or bittorrent, and because of the price I cab't say I blame you. But anytime a JRock band re-releases an album in America at US price I always make it a point to go out and buy it, because it supports the bands and shows there is interest in the states for their kind of music. If nobody buys their US releases because they either already have the $40 Import, or they just torrented it it then they think "Oh, nobody's buying our stuff, so its probably pointless to tour here."
I hope MUCC re-releases "SHION" in stores like HOT Topic and Fye like they had done for BEST OF MUCC. Some of the more elitist fans hate that idea, but it brings the items closer to the fans who want to buy them and makes it more affordable for us. Free-Will and JSHOCK are being smart by re-releasing their band's CD's in Hot Topic at U.S. price. Now if only other lables would follow their lead. Mirror is a great album, I'm glad I could buy it at HOT TOPIC for $14 instead of paying $40 online.
@magma3000 so... just because BFMV toured with BLESSTHEFALL and A7X, you quickly assumed that they are American....its like assuming that MUCC, the UNDERNEATH and D'espairsRay are American bands just because they tour with these other bands...omfg....
you so right if they are doing the same as the american bands they will have kind of problems keeping there fans, and i`ll say this for all JRock bands that they have to keep there one style and dont change!
that's not totally true... but I know what you mean that's happened to me too many times... But there are a few good american bands out there like MuteMath
hey, it don't matter if they become westernized - cuz to me all that means is taking what we do and do it better - the metal, the concerts, the screaming, the whole thing is "western" - but fuck if they don't do it ten times better.
Shit, then you must live in bumfuck middle of nowhere like I used to when I still lived in Ironton Ohio and the closest Hot Topic was in Charleston West Virgninia and before then I didn't even know Hot Topic's existed, we just had Spencers and Gadzooks across the bridge in Assland Kenfucky. But good that you still atleast try to buy their US re-releases.
I love to sing and since most American bands are not emotionally their and are not all that great I was thinking that I should make a band that is inspired by Jrock and Visual Kei and dress alittle like some Jrockers[[Lolita style probably since I'm a girl]] and acually sing with emotion and have different varities of music. Thumbs up if you agree or think I should. Because America defiently needs good bands i mean they have a few but not like Japans.
4:55 They are wayyyyy better than U.S. Bands. I hate American music, it's boring, and they all sing about the same shit. But when I listen to Japanese music, I feel different, and I feel as if I am learning something from each band I listen to. :) I love D;espairsRay they are soooo unique, and I love their stlye very much.
@magma3000 22...wow...ok..here's the gist of what i was trying to imply, put in rather nice words,....before commenting on the video, do try to google it or at least now about the bands you're talking about before saying anything. i mean...you're the technology generation. use the internet to find out about things for goodness sake. utilize/utilise it my boy!!! and on your opinion that DEATHGAZE is the best jrock band..then that's your opinion, and i respect that.
@gigiusa5 Sorry to say but Japanese =/= great everything. Hizumi is inspired by the vocalist of IRON MAIDEN and Tsukasa is inspired by METALLICA. From Wiki: X Japan's music developed in the wake of the success of AMERICAN and BRITISH glam and heavy metal bands and is characterized by hard-driving power metal compositions. Your argument is invalid. Sorry if JRock couldn't exist without the white man.
uh, american acts have toured the globe, especially japan, for many, many years, and these acts include many, many artists you would never even suspect - more often than not less popular acts do BETTER outside the U.S. and spend most of their time touring elsewhere. And by your logic, shouldn't our radios be clogged with j-artists anyway since we've had their ''outsources'' before anime and games? you know, those little things like stereos and automobiles?
@magma3000 FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!! BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE IS A FUCKING BRITISH BAND!!!! BRITISH!!!! NON-AMERICAN!!!!! and for your info...i merely said you 'assumed'...which means implication...which means UNDERLYING MEANING...you didn't get my initial statement did you? oh wait...you're only 17..HAH! shows how much you know...
American rock sux. Every song says the same thing. D'espairsRay stood out and made the other bands look like copycatting slobs, honestly American rock bands are so worked. Hizumi's voice is pure un-edited talent that outshines them all. I'm saying this from going to American rock concerts and being let down, sure it's cool to see them but I'm the type of person who likes good music not slurred nonsense. On CD American vocals r great, REAL out in the lives they are dominated by every other country.
Hizumi
Woot. I was there man. One of your top fans here in the U.S. D'spry!
awesome thank you!!
I love them so much
They were awesome
omg! I love Karyu's style there! Goddammit D'espairsRay, come to Scotland! Please! Or at least London. I won't miss you again!

nooo its not imposible D'Ray is totally awesome!!!! \m/ ROCK ON♥!!!!..
I totally get what you mean. I am also a western, and I prefer for example j-rock as well. Even it is both rock, you can actually hear the differents. I couldn't find the words for it, thank you.
i was like:"since when is Hizumi so tall?is he wearing high heels?"...but he is only standing on the curb,lol...(and then Tsukasa joined him:D)
aw .. I really want to see them smileing .. xD they're awesome .. ^__^ . Tsukasa is so cute . xD

Ugh,but we WANT Jrock bands to do the audience participation stuff with us!!!! T^T
Zero is adorable.

btw. does anyone know how old are they ?! I mean,we all know the dates of birth but I can't find year .. xD
@thisinuyashama Its more like Brit English, thats what they mostly learn.
Oh, and on a un-serious note,
Tsukasa is sexy!
well...they're all sexy, but this is the only band were I thought the drummer is sexiest XD
hey, it don't matter if they become westernized - cuz to me all that means is taking what we do and do it better -
