Love to see long-term relationships turn into family - and the house remod was nice too!

Love the light wood floors and the blue accent paint, they bring warmth to the whole house. The tile in the kitchen is beautiful! My favorite is the dining nook with the window seat -- so cozy!

Yes! It’s so refreshing to see colour rather than all neutrals all the time.

Dave and Jenny always do good work. Jenny's style is too traditional for me, but the clients rarely want to do anything radical.

I cringed and my shin hurt seeing that sharp edged platform in the bedroom.
I'd knock the crap out of my shins everytime...getting up all sleepy and half awake.

@Phyllis Arrington Same for me. No flesh to cushion our lower leg - so the old shinbone receives a mighty crack, and the bruising is horrible. I think my shins have permanent dents from bedbase corner injuries😩

I don't like the living room, it looks really barren. Maybe make the fireplace a statement wall like the one in the bedroom so it ties in with the kitchen colors also. I do like the light wood they used on both floors and furniture, it makes the house look spacious.

Looks like the camera panned over the pantry floor fast because it was not completed.

How come Everytime one of these shows start demolishing they have to play an electric guitar solo?

The original brick fire place was so much better... now it looks like a crap.

I would've retained the brick fireplace & the exterior bricks. So many of these shows paint over the bricks. 😢

I can see it being dated soon.

That recessed doorway hides criminal activity from neighbors and is a bad idea. They needed to leave that more exposed. The living room lighting is harsh. The wine storage is too specific. The kitchen needed a bigger window. The secondary outdoor seating seems random...
Looks better than before but only feels 'okay.'

It's the lady's forever home. I'm glad she's happy with it, even if the style does cater to specific buyers.

As she likes to resell every two years, the 'forever home' notion is ringing false. And safety is safety...

Maybe homeowners should consider having their house cleaned before handing it over to a design & construction team. Even if it isn't a perfect cleaning job, at least bio hazards should be removed

I have always rented. I always clean up on the way out, even if I’m not required to. My parents owned homes and I was brought up that way.

Not only was it bought that way, often it's part of the job for the construction crew to clean up the crap left behind.

    • @shihalya
      @shihalya 2 роки тому +3

While I don’t doubt that some new homeowners buy absolutely trashed places cheaper, and make the construction crew clean the place…. In shows like this, basically reality tv, I always think some of the disgusting finds and „drama“ are staged by the producers
