  • Surat Al-Qari'ah, also known as "The Striking Calamity" or "The Day of Noise and Clamor," is the 101st chapter (Surah) of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. It is a relatively short chapter consisting of 11 verses. This surah is part of the 30th Juz' (section) of the Quran and is often recited in daily prayers and during various Islamic rituals.
The primary theme of Surat Al-Qari'ah is the Day of Judgment and the consequences of people's deeds. It emphasizes that on that Day, people's deeds will be weighed, and they will be held accountable for their actions. Those whose deeds are heavy (good) will be rewarded with Paradise, while those whose deeds are light (bad) will be cast into the Fire (Hell).
Here is a translation of the first few verses of Surat Al-Qari'ah in English:
    The Striking Calamity!
    What is the Striking Calamity?
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
These verses are meant to remind believers of the seriousness of the Day of Judgment and to encourage them to lead righteous lives, mindful of their actions and their consequences in the hereafter.
