Some key points:
i) if you are getting negative digit sum, then subtract it from 9.. you will get the actual digit sum.. for ex- if you are getting digit sum= -5 then the actual digit sum will be 9-5=4 😃👍
ii) Agar demominator me 3,6,9 rahe to unko multiplication se digit sum 1 nahi banaya jaa sakta.. so us part ko simplify karke hi uska digit sum liya jaayega.. for eg. 9471/123 + x - y + z = ? Hai to 9471/123 me 123 ka digit sum 6 aayega.. so denominator me 6 ane se us term ko simplify karna hoga.. matlab 9471/123 ko cancel karne se 77 ayega aur 77 ka digit sum 5 ayega.. fir proceed karenge 😃👍
iii) Digit Sum method is applicable on Simplification where we need exact values not in Approximation 😃👍
iv) Sometimes, Digit sum is not applicable in surds and indices which involves power and root operations😃👍
v) Suppose there is 81 × X = 324 and find x=?
Here in LHS digit sum of 81 is 0 and when 0 is multiplied with "X" it will be zero and clearly digit sum of RHS i.e. 324 is also zero this satisfies the condition but we can't predict the Digit sum of "X" because if we substitute any value for "X" when multiplied with zero will always give zero.. so in such cases we can't apply digit sum 😃👍

I made all the question but when it came to the homework question I tried doing that in digit sum method and I got -2 answer and I couldn't understand where I was wrong at than I tried doing in traditional method and I got correct ans🤯 but than I thought where I was wrong that I got negative than I saw ur cmnt I got to know that I got the correct one I. E. 9-2=7, option B🤭

not effective enough, sometimes the digit sum cannot be found

Nice method but risky if digit sum of given options is same in more than one option 😀
Agree 😃👍 but then go for unit digit.. if one of the option satisfies both unit digit as well as digit sum conditions, then trust me.. that will be 200% true 😃👍
