Checked it out on Maps. Lots of land S of condos.

Praying for residents and firefighters. We lost our apartment along with 20 other people years ago, due to a fire that started on the third floor. You never think it will happen to you until it does. Let this be a reminder to have a fire plan in place for your family. Make sure your smoke detectors are working. Have any important papers that are not in a fireproof safe close by so you can grab them quickly. Also, if you rent, purchase rental insurance. I don't know what we would have done without it.

I went over to rhe Church where the fire victims are. I searched for her she wasnt there. Hop8no one was hurt in the fire.. THANK GOD the pouring down rain helped put the fire out.
Hopefully all pets and humans survived. We will. See tomorrow

@@Jesusiscoming24 yes. It was pouring down rain . It JUST stopped. Fire was up the street from me. The rain put it out. Those firefighters were going hard. So brave. AND I prayed for the rain to come early and it DID! Not saying that I can control the weather or anything like that lol but it was just awesome that it started and it was pouring!

@myrrhavm don't have to be from California to google the address and find out that it's a small 25 apt complex, consistin of 2br apts...with 4 people per apt comes to 100 residents...

This is the problem with these huge multifamily residences with a wood framed structure. Years ago such huge buildings were made of concrete for safety.
Don’t know what you mean by years ago but large wood frame apartment complexes have been around for decades. I have been on a number of large apartment fires like this 40 years ago when I was a newbie Firefighter and until I retired 20 years ago.
@mtnride4930 Right. And the preference for brick and poured concrete became established after it was found to be much better at fire and water damage containment and, consequently, firefighting and overall building salvaging as well as the saving of lives. Also this latest multifamily, multistory building effort does not provide the fire escapes that used to be valued in such concentrated dwellings.
@@HappyQuailsLC like I said I have not seen a single brick or concrete apartment building in my entire 30 year career of firefighting in California and to that point here in Utah they have finished a number of 2,3 and 4 story apartments all wood frame but with very good fire protection systems.

Take a peak at requirements in the uniform building code regarding fire doors, separations, protected hallways and egress from multi story buildings. There has been extensive improvements in the uniform building code and the uniform fire code over the years regarding life safety.

Working attic fire in a structure like that you have to get way ahead of it to ventilate and attack from below. Tuff job. Ya lose it and it turns into surround and drown.

This location is pretty high end retirement. My concerns are that some elderly maybe were trapped? Hopefully the alarms went off and they were able to get out and their pets. We will find out tomorrow hopefully in the news.

Nobody knows yet if it’s arson! They are having freezing tempts right now. Experienced Firefighter here with 40 plus years service. Looks from top seems to have started on top. Probably something electrical for it to burn the entire top first. Fire started on the roof. Spreading that fast of a very wide area. No arson.
Agreed, we did not see the start either, for all we know a private jet crashed on top of it. Need to just wait and see what the professional s at the scene say before jumping to conclusions

There is plenty of aerial support!! Firefighter here with 45 plus years experience. Watched the entire live version from the LA helicopter. They had fire trucks and ladders everywhere!!! It’s a wide area. Electrical more than likely. Arson is not going to spread that fast on such a wide area roof! They have it knocked down pretty good now. Jesus is rising and Satan is hard at work trying to keep Christians from being Holy! Satans out like crazy all over the place! He can’t win!! Jesus saves!!! Amen!!!

I'm trying to make sense at what you just said, and failing miserably. There's no cars in the car port area? Clearly that is untrue. Just at a quick glance, I'm seeing at least 4 cars in the car ports. And I would imagine several were quickly moved by the owners when they evacuated. But even if they were all empty, to automatically jump to the conclusion that it definitely was arson based simply from that observation, is asinine.
