Further Info for anyone watching. The Hull and other composite structures were manufactured by Green Marine Offshore Composites at the Waterloo Rd branch (shown at the start of the film), and then transported as shown here through Lymington to Berthon Boat Co. Bath Rd. Here, the fit-out of the hull, wheelhouse, engines, electrical systems, deck fittings etc. would be completed, along with fairing and painting. Finally, Berthon would carry out sea trials and a capsize trial on every boat with RNLI supervision prior to the boat being commissioned and heading for its new home. I served an Apprenticeship at Berthon as an Engineer between 2000-2004 and later went to work for Green Marine at their other smaller Lymington branch to work on Mersey class refits. I must admit, I used to wonder which route Malcolm took to move the Hull. There's a much more direct route by car, but way too tight and tricky for a wide long load! I miss those days, and it was wonderful to see this footage. Thanks for sharing it.
