If two females are kept together they’ll kill each other, same with two males, and if a male and a female are kept together than they’ll likely breed before one kills the other. Regardless, it isn’t okay. I’m certain they were closely monitored, but that doesn’t excuse anything. Please don’t post or comment information if you don’t know what you’re talking about, others could read it and thinks it’s correct, and that could result in the death of these animals that we care about. They are solitary and VERY TERRITORIAL creatures and will definitely be under so much stress living together and will often fight, even to the death. They need to be separated at all times, have their own habitats to live in alone, and not ever have any contact with one another unless you want to breed them which I also do not recommend.

The person that posted the video also commented that the hamsters were only in there together for the video and I understand that Syrians are territorial but it’s a neutral environment that none of the hamsters have been in and nothing in there has their scent so they wouldn’t be as territorial for the short time they were in there

For those who are concerned, the hamsters in the video look very young, they aren't full grown yet, so they are most likely siblings from the same litter. Hamsters need to be raised with their siblings so they can learn how to be hamsters from each other. It's only when they reach maturity, at around eight weeks, that they start to fight and must be separated. Also, it's important that hamsters get time to play outside their normal enclosures so they don't get bored. This play house seems quite safe for them. Tbh I'm more concerned about the guppies, they seem quite stressed.

Everyone mad about the hamsters playing together but this is also not a suitable habitat for fish at all. There is no filter or heater and the tank would probably be really difficult to properly clean or do water changes in. Anyway I don’t think this is a “serious” design. It’s just something that he put together that looks really dope and might give you inspiration to make something too. He knows it’s not for practical use
That's amazing! I love the idea. However, you could perhaps improve on it by A. Making sure the hamsters have plenty of chew toys so they don't decide to chew through the sealant and get wet B. Perhaps give some bedding in the box underneath the water tank C. Maybe don't house them together, as often Syrians prefer to be solitary. Other than these points, I adore this cage, and may even try myself! Thank you! 🖤🐹🐾👌
Those are endlers, they can thrive in waters ranging from 68-75, even warmer. There is a filter amd only like 3 fish, this is technically a proper tank for them

I understand u do not keep the hamsters together, but also please be careful with stuff like this. I've never owned hamsters, but I've heard they're prone to be anxious, and being surrounded by water might make them anxious. Also, you should have made the width between the aquarium part much larger and you should avoid using plastic plants! The fish don't have much room, and to add to it, even less with the plastic pants. It can cut their fins and hurt them. If you make it to where the fish have more room, and also fill it with pearlweed and duckweed, I think it would be very pretty! The pealweed would also provide a hide for the fish, though I recommend getting an actual hide for them.
Ngl was that water dechlorinated for one if not those fish would die very quickly also as all the comments say SEPARATE THOSE HAMSTERS! AND GET A HUGE BIN CAGE FOR ONE GOOGLE IT. Periodt

Even as a temp cage this is dangerous, he put more than one Syrian in there and yes those look older than 8 weeks old, hamsters grow fast. Putting them in a cage like this could be extremely stressful which could easily kill any sort of hamster as they do not handle stress well. That tank is too small for the fish. Sure it would be a cool decoration but other than that no living thing besides maybe plants should be in there.

Plz don't keep those hammies in there. That is too small for any hamsters to live in there. You also shouldn't be keeping Syrian hamsters together, they can fight to death. Just to let you know you have 2 males and a female, separate them or else they'll get the female pregnant.

@aiko s ハムスターもそうだけど熱帯魚飼育してる身としては魚も責任もって飼ってほしいところ。魚の場合一時的な水質変化でも体調に大きく影響をもたらすし、喧嘩始めてもすぐ止められますか?仮に止められたとしても魚はかなり傷つきます。見ている限りあの環境で長い間飼えるとは思えない…ハムスター一匹も、魚一匹も、一つの命に変わりありません。命に思いも軽いもありません。この子たちのことを思って大事に扱い育ててほしいです。

This is too small aquarium, very lovely project tho :)
Everyone mad about the hamsters playing together but this is also not a suitable habitat for fish at all. There is no filter or heater and the tank would probably be really difficult to properly clean or do water changes in. Anyway I don’t think this is a “serious” design. It’s just something that he put together that looks really dope and might give you inspiration to make something too. He knows it’s not for practical use
Building creative play-time areas for my hamster is one of my favorite things to do. Mazes are cool too

That's amazing! I love the idea. However, you could perhaps improve on it by A. Making sure the hamsters have plenty of chew toys so they don't decide to chew through the sealant and get wet B. Perhaps give some bedding in the box underneath the water tank C. Maybe don't house them together, as often Syrians prefer to be solitary.

Those are endlers, they can thrive in waters ranging from 68-75, even warmer. There is a filter amd only like 3 fish, this is technically a proper tank for them

Why is no one talking about the fact that if that is glass or plastic the hamsters will get injured when they try to chew on it, and yes I didn’t turn a blind eye to the fact that 1 way to small for a live in cage (not saying it is one) or the fact that you put three of the most aggressive to each other kind of hamster in one cage ( yes I know they are babies and at THIS age will most likely not fight, or the fact that, that tank is not suitable far a those fish they need large flat areas because they are schooling fish *BUT I WILL SAY the fact that the beta has movement around them (from the hamsters ) is very good against his bordem,and it was very well made and pleaseing to the eye you have good craftsmanship and I wish you luck on UA-cam BUT PLEASE ALWAYS KEEP A LIVING CREATURES WELL BEING IN MIND (not saying you don’t because I do not know anything about you beyond this video)
This wasn't made as a permanent thing, it was made for a playpen/fun project.
The Grinning Reaper yeah I figured it was but it’s no safe for them anyway hamsters can and will chew on things and if they chew on that clear stuff weather it’s plastic or glass it will hurt them even if it doesn’t break off it can hurt there teeth And the fish are living full time in there and those are schooling fish that need opened areas not tight walls I wasn’t trying to be mean about his creation I am just worried about the animals

The Grinning Reaper yes I believe he only made it for the video but I cannot ignore the fact that even though it’s not permanent he stillput those animals in it and other people might not know that this is unfit for those animals and try to make a similar one I think he meant no harm in making the video but he didn’t fully think it through maybe he should’ve made an actual usable one instead but the main thing I have been thinking about is the fish sure maybe he only temporarily put them in there but that means he’s purposely putting them in and taking them out in a short time period where that can do some serious damage to them that they might not eat anymore so my point is I understand he wasn’t trying to do harm but that doesn’t excuse the fact that he is he should have done more research before committing to the video and I’m not mad about it I just hope he’s learned from this and no I’m not an animal freak I just think that if your going to commit to getting an animal or pet of some sort you need to be aware how to properly take care of them
🤦 As someone that doesn't know ANYTHING about this type of hamster, the only way I found out not to keep more than 1 together IS BECAUSE OF THE COMMENTS. To all the people leaving comments telling other people to use their brains and calm down, you should really take a step outside the box and realize this video has no caretaking information affiliated with it. I'm so tired of the entitlement people express about the information they have, and expect everyone else to just inherently have the same information. We are all different, people!!!! There are people that don't know what you do, and may even know things that you don't!! Get over it.

When it comes down to it, sometimes there's no way of truly realizing the extent of how much you don't actually know. Still doesn't change the fact that this video has no caretaking information affiliated with it. That also doesn't justify people trotting around on their high horse in the comment section like they have a golden ticket in their pockets just because they know something other people may not. I don't have hamsters and don't plan on ever having them, yet I learned something I had zero idea that I didn't know until coming to the comment section. I agree with you that people should be as informed as possible when taking on the responsibility of another living thing. However, I'm not going to condone the entitlement people are expressing regarding their expectations of what should be innate knowledge. Informing one another should not be a put down.

I understand u do not keep the hamsters together, but also please be careful with stuff like this. I've never owned hamsters, but I've heard they're prone to be anxious, and being surrounded by water might make them anxious. Also, you should have made the width between the aquarium part much larger and you should avoid using plastic plants! The fish don't have much room, and to add to it, even less with the plastic pants. It can cut their fins and hurt them. If you make it to where the fish have more room, and also fill it with pearlweed and duckweed, I think it would be very pretty! The pealweed would also provide a hide for the fish, though I recommend getting an actual hide for them.

Even as a temp cage this is dangerous, he put more than one Syrian in there and yes those look older than 8 weeks old, hamsters grow fast. Putting them in a cage like this could be extremely stressful which could easily kill any sort of hamster as they do not handle stress well. That tank is too small for the fish. Sure it would be a cool decoration but other than that no living thing besides maybe plants should be in there.
