You grabbed the first glove by the fingers and palm instead of appropriately by the cuff. You then failed to prepare the glove box to make this an easy task in the future. You should grab all gloves by the cuff and then arrange the next glove in the box for easy removal by the cuff. I understand this is only aseptic and not sterile, but standard procedure of maximum coverage should be encouraged.
What's not mentioned is that you put them on quickly. Snap-snap. Doing it too slowly will leave the ends of the fingers unfilled. Sizes aren't standardized. One brands large maybe another's medium. 😷
My fingers don’t go in that easily. What am I doing wrong? I’ll always be left with floppy tips and webbed beers that don’t go all the way down like my real hands
You remove them from the box by the wrist and do not touch the outside of the gloves with the ungloved hand. Or else using them is pointless if you want to prevent contaminating your work with your skin.
My health sciences teacher taught us a different way to doff gloves. She instructed us to grab the palm of one glove and pull it carefully off of your hand, then hold it in your other (gloved) hand while you use two fingers under the cuff of the remaining glove and carefully remove that glove. My mother was in school to become a nurse and she said that the way to doff instructed by this video is how she was taught, and I'm kind of concerned about my test now, with the 2:1 doffing methods ratio.
+Mia Erin Hi, There’s no definitive method that all glove wearers should adopt. Globus has highlighted the most common and widely accepted method for removing gloves. Individual preference on technique is perfectly acceptable as long as it provides the wearer with an effective method of removing contaminated gloves. Many thanks, Globus
NO, When they're sort of difficult to put on, how do you get fingers in the right spots quickly ? This tells me little... It's like you're putting on your House Slippers . 🤷♂️
It looked like Improper removal demonstrated, if I saw it correctly! (At best, it was unclear and would not correct the most common misstep with glove removal!!) Should’ve made it clear that he was NOT grasping the right glove by the cuff which would cause you to touch the skin with the (potentially contaminated) glove! You grab just below the cuff, but completely on the glove, and peel off, then containing the glove within the left gloved hand! Then with the freed hand, slip underneath the glove on the skin and peel off being careful NOT to touch the contaminated surface.
He touches the entire glove with his bare hand. That defeats the purpose of wearing gloves. Plus you take the gloves out from the cuff not anywhere else.
Gloves are non sterile You should wash ur hands prior and after thats done it doesn't really matter where you touch the gloves from Unlike in sterile gloves

Follow the removal of gloves with thorough hand washing.

Thats only for sterile gloves, you’re washing your hands before donning standard gloves so these are just to protect you.
