I love horror for children. It's the perfect way to expose them to scary things in a safe environment and help them build a bit of the strength needed to face scary stuff in real life.
Mr. Igor: Best character, best voice acting. A shame his voice actor passed away 3 years after the last episode. 15:17 I swear to god it sounds like he said "Von Douchewing." lol. When Duckula gets excited, he sounds like Gilbert Gottfried on helium.
heheeeh, kinda wish Duckula would switch to this "VAMPIRE MODE" every one in awhile. Could've been his own take of "Ultra Instinct" anytime Goosewing threatened him.
All i could remember was that i used to watch a show with vampire ducks.....after seeing the intro and outro my mind was flooded with old memeories...Thank god for youtube....i can always look up some nastolagic stuff and smile....remembering my days of sitting in front of the tv at 4 years old or so.....life is a trip!
Andrew Morrice that is my opinion too. It's Dietpepsiahh who said, Goosewing is the monster. Goosewing is a monster killer, he just hasn't gotten the memo about Duckula not being a monster in this reincarnation.
@@StarlasAiko I agree with you. And as Igor points out in this very episode, vampires are by their very nature deceitful, so the Doctor's belief that the Count's pleasant demeanor is just an act is perfectly justified. This series is rare for an 80s cartoon in that there are no clear-cut 'goodies' and 'baddies.' Everyone is flawed, but sympathetic.
An intelligent Nanny, a ridiculously funny show first broadcast when I was 11 on Thames. Definitely the funniest cartoon series ever made funnier than Danger mouse. David Jason is very gifted.
I was born a year after the series finale so I'm not sure if they had reruns on tv but if they did I'll need to add it to the list of "movies and shows I missed out on my childhood".
Whenever I saw the opening, I believed this thing was going to be something really unsettling... really chilling... And.... geez, talk about the bait-and-switch.
Thank you so much for putting this up. I was talking with afew buddies at work about shows we all watched as kids. Duckula came up and as soon as I got home I found and watched this. Just hearing the opening lines made me so happy. And to see the outro again was complete joyous nostalgia overload for me . Again, thank you.
Thanks for uploading! This show never aired here in Russia, but I used to have an episode in German recorded on a VHS tape and sporadically enjoy watching the intro as a kid despite not understanding a single word. Wish I could watch more episodes later.
This is Amazing, thanks for uploading these episodes,I think Count Duckula doesn't have all the episodes, now you've got worldwide viewers,Duckula didn't used to air here on tv,I found Duckula from a book of the first episode!
Here is something I noticed: It is revealed to Dr. Von Goosewing that Duckula is a vegetarian. Wouldn't that have turned the Doc away if he knew that Duckula was actually harmeless?
Where did Thames get that idea for this episode? It's like it's based on that dumb story. It's probably... something... something on Dr Jackel and Mr. Hyde?
+ren sogen There are only two cartoons I can think of now that parodied Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Duckula and Ducktales, but I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.
One can dream...also, Disney as bought all other franchises and IPS already...so, this is not that far out. If they wanted, they could have Iron Man or the Hulk make a cameo in DuckTales or add the Rescuers to the MCU
Dane Youssef exactly. All of the previous counts were blood thirsty monsters. They used ketchup & got a totally different creature. It's awesome. Duckula was so innocent that it was hysterical.
Padawan Padawan well in danger mouse 2015 he went back to being evil but he's still a vegetarian but he can hynotize people turn to vegetables use them as henchmen and slave and food.
@@padawanpadawan7580 Not innocent, infantile. He's a parody of the new Laird of the manor. He doesn't care about all those centuries of history (well, it was mainly bloody history), and just wants to break into show business. That's why he has that mid-Atlantic accent.
Believe me, you do NOT wanna mess with Igor, especially when he's nice! 😨

Oh God, I wasn't expecting the reverse effects on Igor. I was expecting him to turn super evil. That was a good laugh though.
If Dr. G really is the greatest vampire hunter in the world, then the vampires of the world can rest at ease.

I could probably be a better wampire 🦇 hunter then he could. HE'S like wild coyote in this wampire runner. Try try try
The scene when Igor calmly and joyfully explains that he and Goosewing are going to kill Duckula XD
God I freaking loved this show as a kid. Nice that the Brits weren't afraid to actually scare kids.
I LOVED Duckula as a kid and I love rewatching it now. This was a particularly good episode, loved seeing Duckula as a real vampire.

You would be watching count duckula as a kid
The irony is that the real monster is Goosewing
Is he though? Would you still say that if the resurrection hadn't gone wrong?
@@StarlasAiko Goosewing is not a monster, if anything he's technically a heroic character. He is misguided though, albeit in a justifiable way.

Yes they did. I remember watching it all the time back then.
Yup that’s where I watched it
This is almost like that episode of Danger mouse when a villain drugged DM's milk and it left him weak.
Thus is great. I wish I'd had this when I was a boy in the monastery. It was;t a lot of fun.
If I ever have kids, they're watching these cartoons. Loved this growing up!
Everything about this show was spot on, and every reason i still love horror films and quote ducky boos to people who secretly who know why

I came to listen to Nanny and see her broken arm Lol. That's what I remembered about this cartoon from the 80's😊was Nanny and the duck
