I love our protection song but this shouldn't be on the UTUBE at all..Should be kept secret at all times and only be used on the reservations whenever our native needs it..This is the reason why our country is so insane..We need to keep our protection song to ourselves in the native way of life. The medicine man didn't want this to be used around none native Americans..This is only works for natives...
I have heard that all my life from my grandparent except my great grandparents! It has been foretold that our people will go insane due to the fact they dont know prayers like this. Being selfish will not do my navajo people any good! Look are our homeland, it is considered a third world country due to the fact that most people that live in the remote part of the reservation have no running water, electric, & indoor plumbing. I grew in a hogan with dirty floor, had to carry water in jugs from the well and outhouse. So maybe share prayer songs will change the navajo nation for the good. Look outside your hogan, you will see how the land around the navajo land is dying. Thats because we(navajos) as a whole forgot how to pray regardless if you just sing along with the prayers. If i did not do that maybe my life would not be as rich as it is today. Its only haters that like to see others struggle and be poor, never hoping for the best of there follow people!
@000z I agree expect the white man aka European so called "American" doesn't know it all... Look at his country Today.. look at all the lies he created and how it's coming undone today... He's on the verge of vanishing and collapsing... While despite some issues we as Navajo people may have as a whole we are moving forward we just need a leader with balls and a spine to propel us even further.. I believe we are a sleeping giant.. and when we awake we will assert our rightful place among the family of Nations..!!! NATIVE INDEPENDENCE!!! NAVAJO INDEPENDENCE!!!!
2:59 when i listen to these Navjo protection songs, it gives me strength mentally and spiritually against all negative forces in my life including people that have evil intentions in my culture. Its a healing song for me. Thanks for the songs.
