On the front panel, look at the upper left corner. You'll see a series of holes in a snowflake pattern. _That's an internal condenser microphone.._ It works a bit better than the cheapo hand mike.
It would make a nice video to showcase the CW decoding and keyboard input.....if you haven't yet. Might be nice for those of us that are still learning and trying to get our copy speed up. You could check the screen if you miss something in your copy.
I feel the same way about the screen plastic protector that’s on a new radio. But, unlike most rigs on the market, this is a capacitive screen. It’s glass. It’s like the screen on your phone. Very hard to scratch.
I would like to ask: 1. Does this unit work well in SSB mode? 2. The manufacturer said that it can be used directly in the 11-meter band, and the filter does not need to be modified. Can you please test whether the USB in the 11-meter band can be used normally? Thank you
Is this rig capable of split operation? If yes, is it possible to listen to both VFOs simultaneously, perhaps by assigning one VFO to each headphone channel?
I have the same mic with my latest uBITX. Filling the case with cotton fixes the 'coffee can't echo. It's not a bad mic, and is geared for operators around the world on a budget.
Nice introduction. I just received mine yesterday and was enjoying it for a bit then suddenly it stopped tuning more than 50KHz up and down on any band in any mode. If I repress the band button, it switches to the other Mode Memory on a different frequency, but I cannot tune up and down more than 50KHz still, strange. On 40 meters the lower limit of the 50KHz range I can tune is below 7.000 MHz, out of band. I connected it to the internet and ./update ./build but still no joy. I am thinking some setting has become awry.
@@HamRadioConcepts Nope, I posted from this account 3 links for the Sbitx with a comment of "these should get you down the rabbit hole". Certainly nothing rude as I own one too.
I have one for you....can you add a monitor to it? Thinking for logging. It would make sence to have the log application up on a separate monitor to so you dont have to flip flop windows Update has a dvr port yes a second monitor is possible
@@nixieandyakyak3837why did you not like the radio? I’m kind of on the fence of getting one, not the pre built but make one up on my own. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
I tried FT8 yesterday and worked Hawaii but lost the log info when trying to figure out how to log the contact. I am used to WSJT-X where the box pops up asking to log or dismiss. I guess I should have played with it off line learning how it works. KL7HRO
Interesting radio... Thanks, Eric, for taking the time to make this and share.
I just got one a couple of weeks ago, and I'm looking forward to tinkering with it more!
Looks sweet! I love waterfalls
The HF radio big names need to start offering this form factor. This is the future…
those wobbly knobs would drive me crazy.
Tighten them
It’s junk. I sold mine.

Nice, we are in the best of times and the worst of times
This looks very cool.
I got mine a while ago. SN 0237. I am looking forward to more videos from you. KL7HRO Dennis in Alaska.

Thank you sir, i just get mine, any antenna hf if i want to make it my self? or what you are using for hf? 73 from mexico :)
What are its antenna matching capabilities? How much mismatch will it tolerate without blowing up the output FETs?
This is a game changer 🤯 wow
Proudly Make in India 🇮🇳
Thanks for letting me know. Was thinking of purchasing. Did not know where it was made. Now it is off my purchase list.
Firstly, I would just insert a Heil Mic element into the Existing Mic Housing.
No fuses on power cable?
@@P.SeanCoady fuses are overrated
The battery will eventually catch fire and melt whatever connection is making the short.

80-10 meters

I figured it out, I moronically had the RIT enabled, whoops.
I posted some links for this radio from my other account but they seem to be missing from the comments. WTF?
Maybe that other account was one of those who cussed me out in the comments and I had to block? Or if not, I'm not sure why....
