- The Thin Clergyman's son had just written another book about Thomas and his mishaps. Knowing this made Bear feel sad as he felt like wallpaper in comparison to the rest of the engines because everyone knows them from the books instead of him. Thomas wants to put things right for Bear but...you will have to watch and see the outcome yourself.

I like how Thomas wanted to help Bear get noticed by the author. But surely he could have found a better way around it :) .
While what Thomas did was naughty, at least he was doing out of kindness for Bear.
I can only wish Bear did get his own book, more importantly I am happy to have to have the stories with Bear we both have and make! Awesome adaptation!

Certainly impressive! Although Bear sadly got barely any attention in Christopher Awdry's books (seriously, it shouldn't matter how popular Thomas is, to put him in all the stories!), the ending does have a nice approach. 👍

Kinda begs the question though... If Christopher was so frustrated being tied down by the publishers wanting only Thomas focused books, then why didn't he just split ways with them and find new publishers to get his ideas out?.
Clearly they we're being greedy and taking advantage of the show's popularity and his creativity to boost themselves, so why stay on with people so selfish, right?. Because there's no way it was because kids themselves at the time we're the ones demanding only books about Thomas, and as a result Chris didn't want to upset them and so sacrificed his original plans to give the public what they wanted.
I guess we’ll never know
