Well, if my last theory was even mildly true, then Patton's dad is also Logan's. Apperantly his more morally correct side rubbed off on Logan because he needs it more than the literal morality. The dad's more logical side tried to rub off on Patton (which didn't quite work) and led Patton to the believe that his father is a jerk. That we don't see Logan's mom is also an indicator that they're related because she could literally be this crazy woman. But that's up for you to decide if you'll think it's true

This was freaking awesome. I love the kinda backstory you gave Patton cause this plays really well with the fact that he is the dad of the family and how he is so happy and cheery. He doesn't want to be like his parents and he doesn't want his "kiddos" to get insulted because they try to defend him. Also, him snapping and cussing seems like something anyone would do cause even the kindest and most tolerant people have their limits.
