I can't believe how tall Nick has gotten from the last videos. I gotta say, I love Aston Martin's. Hopefully I can get one myself someday! Great video Randy!
Condensation also gets in the crank case as well. I’ve run into this several times on Mercedes over the years. And have bought a few cheap ones with the same scenario! Awesome score Randy! That is a beautiful ride!
I've had my Vantage for about a year and a half now and love it, even autocrossed it a couple times. The doors are held open by gas struts that fail over time, they're about $60/pr and the job isn't that hard. You have to hold down the traction control button to turn it off, and you can only turn the parking sensors on and off while the car is in reverse. Great find, you got a really good deal! Just know that if you need to change the clutch on the Sportshift, it has to be "programmed" afterwards.
What a beautiful car! I'd have this over a standard C6 any day of the week. Did you try opening the fuel door with the key in the ignition? Some exotics from that era require the ignition on for you to open the fuel cap for some reason so it might be that. The button in the trunk is for the battery kill switch, the button by the drivers seat is to disable the deadlock system so passengers and animals can be left inside without the alarm going off. Hope you feel better soon! PS: This came before the Fusion, so you could say the Fusion looks like the Vantage, which is a compliment.
Good score, Randy! Those rear tires are showing their wear bars. You are going to have to replace them pretty soon. No doubt that the Corvette will be the better value when it comes to reliability, maintenance and performance. The Aston wins in the prestige department and pride of ownership.
Hard to believe how far you have came in just a few short years I remember watching your videos rebuilding old crappy cars in your backyard with no shop to no great job man keep up the awesome work
The switch on the end of the dash switches off the interior sensors on the alarm... Press it when leaving the car roof down or if you lock it with a pet/child inside. Parking sensor switch will only work in Drive or Reverse and only upto about 10 mph. Fuel release button probably needs holding for a second or two and only with the ignition on. Although trunk trim may have been peeled back to access the fuel door release and might have been disconnected. Door will be a gas strut. The battery switch in the trunk is a battery disconnect for use if the car gets left sat for a spell. And don't take it the wrong way😉, but check the glove box and RTFM😂
the button to the left of the dash is a "reduced guard" button.. this is taken from an AM forum "the reduced guard button, I use mine when washing the car as sometimes the sensors pick up the cloth going over windows and fire the alarm. Press it just after turning the ignition off and it should light up red, it should then stay in reduced guard until the ignition is turned on again"
You kind of have to wonder if the Dodge Dealership just dumped it real quick because most Americans don’t want a high end car like that and especially one with that kind of mileage because of their notoriety for being unreliable and cost a lot to maintain as well? Like, the dealership decided that if they spent anything on it then there wouldn’t be any meat on the bone for them? I don’t know. Pretty cool little car either way and we appreciate you showing it to us, man.
Hey Randy the heads on that engine can lift and spray coolant out of the tail pipes. A blown head gaskets show up 3 ways. The engine oil , the radiator , and tail pipe.
The button in the trunk with the x running through the battery symbol is a battery cut-off switch. The manufacturer assumes that you won't be daily-driving it and it will be parked for long periods of time, and to prevent the battery from draining, you just activate the switch and cut the power
That... is a steal. Edit to add: I think 30 minutes with the Owners Manual is needed to discover what the buttons are supposed to do, and if they really don't work.
What a car Randy! The only thing you're missing is a Vesper Martini. Shaken, not stirred. The Corvette that will compete against this is the perfect villain car against the Aston Martin! A Bond style video of You vs. MWM would be an AWESOME video to see!
Wow Randy, I’m my opinion this is the best car we have had on the channel to date. What a fantastic video, I hope we have lots more content soon and hope you are feeling better
I feel like you can’t really go wrong with these (besides maybe reliability), auto or manual, V8 or V12, Coupe or Convertible They all sound good, and they all look good
She has "swan doors" Randy, very cool how that looks indeed😎 Maybe hold the button for the traction control? Veeeery sexy car in any case! What a score, congrats!
The gorgeous Aston Martin convertible is a giveaway... Randy it should be a best kept secret with a touch of class 👏 👌 a paradise uncovered....yeah you got a best deal....keep it...
Could some of those buttons not be working because it's supposed to be done from the paddle shifter and it switched over back-and-forth between the paddle shifter and the buttons on the dash
You got it from a dealer near me. The dealer is pronounced Orsman . It is a well known dealer chain in Maryland and is one of the oldest in the country having started out as a Chevy dealer in 1921. Good luck with the car
Did you try press the brake pedal and pressing the park button at the same time or just long pressing the park button? Traction control button didn’t work because you were in park.
Nick got some good stuff to show to his school friends. Maybe you could teach and pay him some 'date money' washing and interior cleaning of your lower tier cars.
Aston Martin all day long over the corvette. That time with your son is priceless and probably an occasion you will both remember for a long time. I am shocked that the dealership did not do an easy block test before offloading it. You picked up a bargain, so chalk one up for the little guy. Cheers from downunder🇦🇺🦘🐨
Great find Randy my man ! I would love driving the Aston Martin on short 10 or 20 mile trips, BUT no way would I take it over a Corvette because Corvettes are battled tested and proven to be reliable and fun cars and IF anything goes wrong with it, like U said it won't cost U an arm and a leg.😎
Is the kid your son? So cool of you to be enjoying the cars and UA-cam together. I could definitely see some “old man vs son” flipping challenges as a great format if he fancied it!
Been waiting on this vid!!! Always loved these cars keep it up man can't wait to see what your buying in another year from now, love seeing you keep growing you deserve it!
Randy did you get the owners manual with the car ? If you did a lot of the unknown buttons would be explained. If I'm just looking at an older video I hope this was a good flip. I certainly wouldn't kick it out of the garage.
Swan doors, not butterfly. One sure fired way to wreck the engine is to drive it like you did after you backed out of the driveway! The temp gauge was showing cold and you floored the throttle and revved to near redline! You should run at low load and low revs until the *oil* is fully warm! That's about twice the distance it takes to get water temp to normal running temp.
Seriously - why rev a not fully warmed up engine so high ? Perfectly fine if the oil temp is good but not after a minute of idling after a cold start. That's just abusing a nice vehicle.
On some car's your foot has to be on the brake to get the electronic parking brake to engage. Not sure if you tried that or not but just in case.. Great score Randy enjoy!. 🍻
Hey Randy, I just saw your Aston Martin video and you wanting us to tell you which one to keep the either the Aston Martin or your C6 new Corvette that you’re fixing to get from Sam crack right now. I really don’t know I’ll have to see your other video on the C6 Corvette but I add it stands right now I really like your Aston Martin so I’ll have to let you know later. when you put the new video up of your C6 Corvette from San crack, I’ll talk to you later buddy have a good evening
Both the Astin Martin and Corvette are nice cars, but (my age is showing) my first pick of most desirable cars now at AAR headquarters would be the Cadillac Brougham. Not only is it a wonderful riding car, it is capable of towing a travel trailer like my Vintage 26-foot Airstream -- I tow with its sister car, a 1992 Buick Roadmaster Limited Sedan with the 5.7 liter V8 and factory towing package. My second pick of most desirable vehicles would be the Cadillac Seville -- it is now a very unusual car on the road in a very striking color combination -- it appeals to me for much the same reason as my 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible in midnight blue with white leather.
That Aston is awesome. There is no question I’d rather have the Aston Martin. When it comes to brand cachet I’d rather have the Aston. Reliability is definitely better on a corvette but I’d still take the Aston as long as I was in a position to afford the maintenance.
Just a few months ago I remember a Subaru (I think.) and it was described as a "Biohazard" and full of used needles, garbage and almost a non -runner. Welcome to the real game, with a real car. A true work of art and people that are jealous do not realize the hard work and sacrifices that it has taken you to get to this point. Each time you hear comments about it being like a Focus, or Corvette, just know inside those haters with they could own a Aston.
that key is a tibbe key. lots of uk and european cars have used these keys since the 80's at least. not much of any us cars ever used the tibbe key system. great score. i know where i live there are a few people with an aston hard top and a few other nice cars like a masaratti. dont know what their job is but they must have tons of money to own the cars and eat out all the time
I can't believe how tall Nick has gotten from the last videos.
Growing up fast Nick, great to see family together. Aspiring videographer Nick, can't wait to see the footage.
That motor sounds BAD ASS! Love it!
You got a Hell of a deal on that one Randy!
In one episode dude went from saying that he'd never own one to defending the brand. Good video
Matches his intro!

Randy the Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster was one hell of a great deal you found.
I hope you are doing okay and recovering from covid.
Nicks a cool little dude! He's definitely grown up since I started watching the channel! Love to see u guys in the videos💜

That extra switch in the trunk Randy is a shutoff for the battery. Love the car. 😎👌👍

The engine is fine.
I think this is the most excited nick has been about a car on here . Seems like a great buy
Hi Randy, As they say, welcome to 2023. I hope your neighbours will not accuse you of tuning the drive into second-hand used garage.
I’m a licensed car lot so neighbors can’t say anything
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds 👍🏾💯💯

Stunning car Randy! Even with its faults it's worth way more than you paid. Get it on bring a trailer before something serious breaks lol 😆
That... is a steal.
Edit to add: I think 30 minutes with the Owners Manual is needed to discover what the buttons are supposed to do, and if they really don't work.
Thanks for the great content. It's good to see you doing something with the kiddo. Have a good day.

the button next to the fuel cap opener button is the button turn on or off the interior motion detector

Hi Randy see 14:18 it says VOLVO on the key fob strange for an Aston Martin? Why would this be?
You know it's a good car when *Nick* is there!!!
Why is the key fob printed volvo on the back?
Did you try press the brake pedal and pressing the park button at the same time or just long pressing the park button? Traction control button didn’t work because you were in park.
Aston Martin, Randy damn your stepping up your game man…. Great content….
Nick got some good stuff to show to his school friends. Maybe you could teach and pay him some 'date money' washing and interior cleaning of your lower tier cars.
Love the Aston!!! Great score! You will have to post when you are ready to sell it.
I saw a no smoking sticker on the side of the passenger dash when the door was open. Was it a rental car?
Aston Martin all day long over the corvette. That time with your son is priceless and probably an occasion you will both remember for a long time. I am shocked that the dealership did not do an easy block test before offloading it. You picked up a bargain, so chalk one up for the little guy. Cheers from downunder🇦🇺🦘🐨
I'm so excited! That Aston looks so cool 🤘🏽🔥😊❤️

Hey randy that key that starts the car that key is the same thing as the front ford transit connect
Push button shifting reminds me of my dad's Ford Edsel...had the shift buttons on the steering wheel.
Been waiting on this vid!!! Always loved these cars keep it up man can't wait to see what your buying in another year from now, love seeing you keep growing you deserve it!

The Aston looks fantastic what a thing of beauty
If I’m not mistaken, the doors are called swan doors. They do that so it clears a curb.
Great video! Glad to see that you got it, definitely a score for 24k. Can’t wait to see what’s next for it.
If this thing pegs out definitely a steal. Have fun with it for a while..and ya Nick hit a damn growth spurt geez
Seriously - why rev a not fully warmed up engine so high ? Perfectly fine if the oil temp is good but not after a minute of idling after a cold start. That's just abusing a nice vehicle.
Best way to ruin a high performance engine. Suggests Randy isn't too clued up on looking after his engines?
You might have to push and hold the fuel door release button to open it?
Those aston martins has such a beautiful front grille and body style
Hey Randy, have you ever considered checking out copart located in Elgin, Illinois??
The same thing was wrong with my car and when i drove it for sometime it was just condensation as you said 😄
Good video bud keep up the good work enjoy it
That sounds amazing. Love it. Would take the Aston Martin…… not even close. Don’t really care for vetts
On some car's your foot has to be on the brake to get the electronic parking brake to engage. Not sure if you tried that or not but just in case.. Great score Randy enjoy!. 🍻
The button in the trunk prob shuts off the 12volt socket in the trunk. I think you can put a battery tender there to.
Good Video Randy Nice Car Good Deal On The Car Nick Is Growing Up Looks Like You Was Having Fun On The Ride
Hey Randy, I just saw your Aston Martin video and you wanting us to tell you which one to keep the either the Aston Martin or your C6 new Corvette that you’re fixing to get from Sam crack right now. At 14:17, why do they have a volvo key fob?

Congratulations Randy great win on the Aston and the Cadillac.
The Aston Martin is fire🤘🤘🤘
It's easy to be seen in a Aston Martin. You can wave to people when you are stranded on the side of the road
That Aston is awesome. There is no question I’d rather have the Aston Martin. When it comes to brand cachet I’d rather have the Aston. Reliability is definitely better on a corvette but I’d still take the Aston as long as I was in a position to afford the maintenance.
I have to say the Aston Martin is probably the best car you have ever had on the channel. But I know you won’t long but is nice.
very nice car Randy, good luck with it
Ourisman in Bowie MD is like 30 minutes from where I live. Sweet ride!
For the door it use some type of hydraulic dampers to hold it open
Like that Aston Martin buddy good luck
Awsome car and video, great to see Nick back😎🔥👌
What do they go for brand new retail ?
Randy I can't take my eyes off the Brougham . Reminds me of mine with the exception of not being buckled in half .
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Hehe. MY 08 C6 of course 👌 NO Brainer 🏄 Looking forward to FLEETWOOD vid.
The passenger side looked like it had a "no smoking"🚭 sticker like a rental would have in the door jam.
ummm the Key fob said Volvo on the back!
Randy, looks like you have almost as many cars as Derek on Vicegrip Garage minus the rust, lol. Love the Astin Martin!
I would go Aston Martin all day, what a beautiful car those lines are gorgeous.
Another one big video Randy.
Maybe spray some contact cleaner on the fuel door popper .or the popper is bad
Aston Martin some of the most beautiful cars ever made
Niiiiice Austin Martin . Never saw one before thanks lots of Corvettes but few Austin's
Just a few months ago I remember a Subaru (I think.) and it was described as a "Biohazard" and full of used needles, garbage and almost a non -runner. Welcome to the real game, with a real car. Randy you keep leveling up and I like to see that. I'm waiting on you to get a maybach next lol
For the park-assisst and ESP off you need to press and hold for minimum 5sec for it to turn off.
Nice Aston 👍 very clean wouldn't mine owning one not bad for the price..
Very cool car. I am looking forward to the Samcrac vette video
Nice video Randy. In the mid 60s Paul McCartney drove an Aston Martin.
that key is a tibbe key. lots of uk and european cars have used these keys since the 80's at least. not much of any us cars ever used the tibbe key system. great score. i know where i live there are a few people with an aston hard top and a few other nice cars like a masaratti. dont know what their job is but they must have tons of money to own the cars and eat out all the time
Just like the mustang California special. You are a lucky s o b . Thanks for the video.
1:03 Lol that’s the exact same thing my parents tell me. I’m tall but I can’t bulk up
I'm not sure it was the first father n son drive Randy, assuming it was, I enjoyed the video especially in such an eye-catching car.
Had samething on oil cap on Dodge Magnum 5.7
Hey Randy Im from and live in Maryland the dealership is pronounced orrs-man basically like a little kid saying orrrrrr 😂😂😂
That was a steal of a deal Randy! Score and go... 😅👌Congrats! 👏👏👏Cheers! ✌️🇵🇹🇲🇿😎
I'll wait for SAMCRAC to chime in. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best video yet!
Nick is probably one of the coolest kids in school now 😂😂😂
