There are a lot of harsh comments with this one. I felt the same way at first, but I don’t know this person, I have no idea who she is, so to judge what she is feeling or has gone through in her life is not my job. People may have walls up for reasons none of us onlookers know. Treat everyone you meet with kindness. I am a huge fan of Charisma Carpender. I watched her on Buffy and Angel '(she was a part of my childhood). She went through trauma most of us could never understand. She was r*ped by a stalker cop on the beach who watched her for a long time and her friends over powered him but were harmed and shot - but survived thankfully. And she was emotionally and phycologically abused by Joss Wheadon during her run of Buffy and Angel in the 90s/2000s. She went through so very much. Please be kind in the comments. She went through so much and struggled with so much loss and trauma. Many of us know her as she is well known in the scifi and 90/2000s universe and she is a bit more reserved and nervous about paranormal things. She probably thought her team or his knew who she is/ told him about her.

He came to her house, so I feel like she could assume he knew her name and someone told him on the way...and she probably had a million thoughts running through her head, and she's famous. I know her from Buffy too.

I watched the episode as well, although it has been a while since I did not watch it again on account of not wanting to be triggered by my own PTSD. The difference between r*pe and s*xual assault is not the point of my comment. My point was she has been through too much and people who do not know her or her work are judging her when she did not do anything wrong in this clip (in my opinion).
As someone who had been SAed/r*ped, it took me many years to come to terms with that is was too a r*pe - a sexual assault encounter where I did not consent to. I don't know why you felt compelled to state this specifically but I encourage empathy in regards to discussing this topic. Thank you.

I’m not judging, just an observation, she didn’t introduce herself and thought he surely knew who she was, I have no idea who she is either but perhaps the relationship issues could be resolved by self reflection and becoming more humble. Tyler is simply amazing. It would be the greatest honor to be read by him.

@Oceans-jc1dj Sometimes they will not introduce themselves, not out of vanity/ego, but because they do not want to give "any tell" as they are skeptics. Hollywood/acting/entertaining is an epically cruel, wild, competitive biz where your very being of who you are/look like is demolished repetitively every single day...if you let the auditions & social media do that to you, so one has to develop a "mega thick skin" unless, of course, they have family in the biz or wealthy mums & dads. Becoming more humble is a great thing. Tyler is amazing & kind.

@@melissaallen3918 I’ve watched a lot of these celebrity readings with Tyler, some of the most well known celebrities still introduce themselves. Tyler recognizing the celebrity has absolutely no bearing on his gift and read. Providing their name won’t make any difference. Her entire demeanor throughout the first half of the read is what I’m referring to. She eventually let her guard down and became more vulnerable. I actually shed quite a bit of tears through this read, even with her resistance and skepticism. I feel she has walls up and she probably has very good reasons why that is, but I also feel it would benefit her to let them down a bit. I’m not trying to insult her but it’s clear she’s very closed off. A read with Tyler is more like a successful therapy session. 🙂

Had no clue that she appeared in Buffy and Angel. Only people I know that watched the series are older men who really didn't care about the story line. Same with series about the sisters that were witches
@@maryk4d488 that would be Charmed. A lot of millennials who were adolescents/teens when the WB started watched those shows...as well as Dawson's Creek, Felicity, and the other shows that were on the WB's original lineup. Those were our soap operas. 😹

He was born about 10 years before Buffy and Charmed were on TV. These are not shows he would grow up with.
I can't get enough of his readings how ever you can see the toll the readings take on him.

Absolutely one of my favorite readings. Charisma has been through a lot in her life. I was concerned at first when she was resistant to letting the spirits through but knowing about her past beginning as a child and being haunted by a violent spirit, it must be traumatizing to encounter any spirits. I am an Empath and while I can't see spiritual entities I feel them, even through video and audio. Charisma has the most amazing aura that radiates, and her soul absorbs and just naturally calls out to spirits and energy. She is very intelligent, but frightened, again considering the evil haunting she endured, who wouldn't be. My loving and caring advice to Charisma is to get in a quiet space, close your eyes, breathe and accept this is what you soul has chosen in this life, and help it grow and become enlightened. Simply listen. You don't need to act on messages unless the gut of your soul advises it. Tyler, you are just absolutely amazing buddy! So proud how you share your gift with the world. Very much saw the walls up (I am an empath) not only by Charisma but also Tyler here - but felt them thinning out all the way through the reading. Also I have no gift for what is beyond only reading people here - so I am incredibly glad to here we do meet up with our pets...it's something I've been told before but when Tyler says it you know it is 100% true.
I can’t get over the number of awful comments about this woman. Maybe she assumed that he was told who he’d be reading, maybe she was nervous and forgot to introduce herself. Who knows? The last time I checked, NO one is perfect.
I have a lot of admiration for her. She is a survivor that didn't allow her stalker to destroy her. Her appearance on Blue Bloods is my favorite.

Did she waste his time? Did you watch what you wanted or did you really see what happened? She said she didn't full on believe talking to the dead. At the end, she was a believer. Many people start off saying they don't really believe. Still, how did she waste his time. She has a message to taken to her exhusband, she got a message from her favorite grandma...so what about that says waste.

I always watch the entirety of all of Tyler’s videos and I do get a bit flustered when people go in with a negative attitude and say that they are skeptics(regardless of how they word it). He has to work that much harder to break through their negative barriers and yet he is always able to tap in on the things that only they would understand and only then do they open up enough to give him validation to what he hears and sees. Their agents have to convince them to do this show to give them exposure. Then there are some who believe and appreciate his gifts.
Why don’t you relax and troll someone else. And as long as they are paying for his time, no, she didn’t but going into this without understanding just how difficult it is to do what he does, why bother? As I said… exposure.

She didn’t waste him time. It’s ok to be skeptical. If you watch Matt Fraser a lot of his readings are directed to skeptics. It’s how people become non-skeptics when there is proof. I think your response suggests how touchy you are!
@@pennPi I don’t watch Matt Fraser. Tyler doesn’t do readings to prove or disprove his gift. He prefers to enter the reading to help people, not prove weather or not he’s got a true gift.

Not introducing yourself in daily life is rude, not introducing yourself to a psychic when their *might* be name recognition is different. She doesn't have to think herself an A-list celebrity to know that the name Charisma is uncommon or to think she's not suppose to offer up telling information.

I had to giggle when she said she didn't like to talk to dead people because I immediately remembered the episode on Angel where she ends up having a dead psycho mom trying to get her to leave the apartment. She ends up getting the psycho mom to leave, but the son who she killed remained "roommates" with her. At the end of the episode she is on the phone talking with a friend and then says something to him... I think about moving her drink or something. anyway.. .made me giggle.

Charisma did herself no favors appearing here. If you find talking to people who have passed "wiggy" don't agree to see a psychic. And maybe she was nervous, but it's polite to introduce yourself to someone you're meeting for the first time. Don't assume they know you. I am a huge Buffy and Veronica Mars fan. I'm kind of disappointed in her.

My best friend was adopted. She passed away in 2020 unexpectedly, and I unfortunately found her. In 2021 she came to visit me in spirit with her mother, they informed her dad had passed and that they were going on together.
I looked into her dad and sure enough he had passed in February that year, at the time I learned he had already been gone 5 or so months.
It was a wild experience.
She indicated she'd like to meet up with Tyler again. There's only 300,000 people waiting, get in line!

Some are skeptic, bc so much has happened in their life, people having left and now they feel all alone. So they wonder, how could passed on loved ones still be with us when no one is there? Then they meet someone like Tyler and find out loved ones are still here with us, watching and guiding us, and can’t help but let the walls down… and believe. Charisma also appeared on an episode of "Celebrity Ghost Stories" and its spin off "The Haunting of...." with medium Kim Russo.
Charisma told stories of constant paranormal occurrences and attacks in her chilhood home, including a ghost pushing her and nearly knocking her into an empty swimming pool and nearly killing her, which were believed to have been caused by her mother opening a portal by messing around with talking to spirits by various means in the 1970s. She and Kim then went vack to the house and Kim provided her with a lot of alleged answeres to her questions.
For her to be portrayed here as a sceptic given her supposed childhood experiences seems to completely contradict the claims made in those other programmes . I don't know if she was lying in either them or this but it would appear due to the sifference in attitude that she had to be lying in one of them. This has sullied my impression of her a bit.

I know this might be a bizarre perspective, but I think of the people who passed away and how they finally have this clairvoyant to how many kid was. There loved one, and then that loved one doesn't want to hear from them. Regardless of the reasons, I just feel that's incredibly selfish and hurtful.

Tyler said Charisma didn’t introduce herself. But she did. She said “Hi, I’m Charisma and you’ve probably seen me on blah blah blah”, etc. Unless that was only for us the viewers. I have read some of the horrible stuff she has been through, so her heart may still need healing, but she seems very sweet.

When she did not emote when the one person who "got" her passed away, I still wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was insulating to protect her emotions. But when she asked whether Mae missed HER (translate - it's all about ME)...wow. No lady, Mae doesn't miss you because she's in spirit and is w you at any and every moment. YOU should have wanted to convey to HER how much you miss her. Before you decide to couple again, I'd strongly recommend some therapy in the vein of self-awareness.
You really should know who you're talking about before you try to analyze them. She is a very private, humble, thankful woman who has seen the very worst of someone and something. What she has been through I'm surprised she would still want to be in public eye.

I, originally, was making concessions for her poor behavior, as well - her lack of manners, her standoffish posturing, her lack of empathy for Mae in her dying hour - in the end she told us who she is. I admire your loyalty to her, I just cannot share your conclusions about her nature. There are myriad humans who have been through life's wringer who do not present as she does, and her final comment, asking if an energetic soul missed HER? Even in that moment, she prioritized herself. Not saying goodbye to Mae because HER emotions were too delicate - what about MAE's??? The math here reveals the truth, in my personal opinion.
