Yes it will be free for any midi users since we want to have as many people as possible enjoy it and encourage them to upgrade to Mezzz eventually. Though this won't be our primary target and vidOS will remain focused on use with our controllers. vidOS will inevitably have certain features that are only possible/reasonable with Mezzz such as the gyroscope orientation. Also the app will eventually have in app purchases for advanced capabilities. -Ron

I use the hypno with audio and cv and I love that functionality, and I pre-ordered a mezzz though I am debating on canceling that order as I'm really not sure of the capabilities of the unit so far. I honestly don't need a wireless midi controller, but I want the app after how much fun I've had with the hypno.
