I’m so glad they included that haewon is a secret dancer bc I have no idea why she’s not in the dance line. She’s one of if not the best freestyle dancer in the team along with being the best at paying attention to detail when she dances. And on top of this she’s the second best female vocalist (only second to Lily, but still incredibly close it’s so hard to tell) in the fourth gen kpop and one of the best in all of kpop
Haewon is viral, for comparison NMIXX official channel has 800M views, Haewon fantube channel has 600M views.
55:50 the context for the costumes is that they were filming a a short series on their UA-cam channel called Korean Traditional Fairy Tales: NMIXX QUEST! So the members were dressed up as various characters, including Bae as a frog, as you can see. XD
In the Haewon section, she was introduced as the "hidden dancer" because she wasn't presented as part of the dance line in NMIXX's pre-debut promotional videos. There are a series of "JYPn" promo videos (what NMIXX was called before their name was revealed), including three dance covers (Press, White Flag, and Que Calor). These featured Jinni, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, so people knew they were fantastic dancers early on. It wasn't until after debut that people realized that Haewon could clean up the dance floor as well.
Additional fun fact about Haewon is that based on her JYPn song covers and general appearance, people thought she was the quiet, elegant, introverted type. Then after debut they find out she's a memelord making joke bear faces.
NMIXX's music is top-tier. Their dancing is phenomenal. Their vocals are amazing. Their rapping is impressive. Their visuals are great. Their M/Vs are intriguing.
Their Mixxpop is actually explained by their concept and their lore.
In short and from what Nswer are saying, for Nmixx, the real world is sad and hard and they want us to keep dreaming and being bright and happy. That’s why their title track are often dark and badass but when the change occur, their MV and sound often becomes bright and happy

btw just to put it in perspective, lily and haewon are the best currently active vocalists of 4th gen, not only for girl groups, in general

Sullyoon said that she really wanted to join JYP because she loves Twice so much. her bias is Sana, and when asked, why Sana? she said that she loves everything about her. The fans actually jokingly said that Sullyoon is the daughter of Sana and Tzuyu because her face looks like the combination of both of them.

Also we don’t know the reasons for Jinni leaving (as is usually the case with stuff like that) but she has debuted as a soloist now.

The reason for Jinni (pronounced like genie) leaving has never been revealed, probably due to NDAs. But she has recently debuted as a solo artist with her first mini album "An Iron Hand in a Velvet Glove" which came out October 11, 2023. The Title track was called "C'mon" and has a MV. Its a super fun song worth checking out, same with the rest of the album which consist of 5 songs (C'mon has 2 versions, the original and a korean version)

Thanks for getting to know Nmixx. I’ve been into kpop for over 5 years but had never stanned a group so hard until I discovered them about 4 months ago. Their vocals, their performances and their personalities are top tier for me. They like to explore different genres and sounds and so they don’t stick to one concept, which I love!
There’s a lot of great Nmixx content out there so after you watch all of their official MVs, make sure to check out performance videos (Tank, Run for Roses). They have a lot on It’s Live YT channel as well. Lastly, they do dance practices with raw vocal singing! I look forward to your future Nmixx reactions ❤

Lily is my bias, I love her outspoken personality and we are also both Australians.
Their debut date is Feb. 2, 2022 and Jinni left in December 9, so she had only been in the group for 10 months.

Jinnie Ex Nmixx Member Is A Soloist Now
I’ve said it since debut.. I think NMIXX is JYP’s strongest vocal group and one of the top 4th Gen vocalists. But also, their dance is just next level, their are all technically SUCH excellent dancers. The fact that they have kind of been underdogs (people didn’t jive with their mix pop concept for a long while) is wild to me.
Lily is so hilarious and endearing - she is big theatre kid energy and chronically online so is completely up on what’s current in the Gen Z zeitgeist. As an Aussie I’m just so proud that she’s doing so well. Kyujin is also such ace - she’s really one to keep an eye on as NMIXX develop over the next few years, she really can do everything (including a spot on Britney Spears impression). Haewon is lowkey savage in the best way, Sullyoon captured Korea’s attention for her visuals and i think her vocals have actually gotten even stronger since their debut. Bae is a goofball and comedy gold but also is up there for me with her visuals. Jiwoo is an absolute monster performer and has really gotten to shine since Jinni left the group, with more of the rap line going to Jiwoo. But I’ll take any chance to hear Jiwoo’s vocals because she has a bluesy tone we don’t get to hear often in Kpop. Jinni was also an absolute superstar performer who made everyone fall in love with her pre-debut (she was known as “pink pants”). Still sad she left but she seems to be doing well.
For reactions in future - the pre-debut videos from when they were called JYPn are phenomenal. Also their stage practices (dance practice with their raw vocals) show off just what crazy good performers they are!

It's my opinion that NMIXX started out as an interesting group with a ton of potential and a goofy gimmick up until "A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream", but not with a lot great songs if any to their name. As soon as the aforementioned ep dropped, they started hitting their stride, and their producers started following a far more interesting vision for the group. They were no longer a group with 2 main vocalists, a pretty face (Sullyoon), and 3-4 background characters/rappers, they became a well rounded group, where the gimmick was put slightly in the background, in order to focus more on making really solid music showcasing every member's talents as vocalists. Watch Bae, Jiwoo, Kyujin, and Sullyoon blossom and shine like crazy from Summer 2023 and forward. With the "Fe3O4: Break" ep, NMIXX pretty much took over the torch from NewJeans as the current most interesting and at least as progressive 4th gen group that puts out well made and extremely well performed music. You can tell the whole scene really started paying attention to them from this point. I would say, that NMIXX and NewJeans currently outshines everyone in the scene with Le Sserafim as a semi-close 3rd (not accounting for male groups), but there's just something extra about NMIXX, who has the energy of NewJeans and vocal skills pretty close to those of Mamamoo. They are just nuts, and it's wild, because they were so close to becoming an afterthought!

as far as I remember nmixx stayed on top for a long time, aespa probably just recently surpassed them and nmixx were on top when she made the video
