I drive, my wife prays, and it's my grill!
My future HUSBAND can drive, grill, take out the trash, & we can spilt praying depending on the situation.🙏🏾♥️

It might seem old fashioned but I definitely prefer he drive and lead prayer. I don't feel either way on the grill but the man should definitely take out the trash and cut the lawn!
i guess partnership goes out the window when it comes to the dirty work correct? no equality there and men will not even argue that either.
I drive cause my wife drives slower than an ant walking in peanut butter and we need to get there. The GRILL IS MINE...PERIODT!. I usually pray but I think it's important for both husband and wife to pray

my husband is literally taking out the trash rn! 😂 I don't do trash. I'll change the bag for the trash can in the house but...that's it! Lol also, he is the griller, that is his domain and he can have that. he's actually very good at it. dishes...we don't have a dishwasher so he washes mon-fri bc he works from home but comes the weekend? I'm doing dishes you best believe! 😆 he don't even go in the kitchen! 🤣 but that's cool. he also put dinner on (air fryer) in the evenings. he was never allowed to cook bc it never worked out for him...or me! our son bought us an air fryer last year and it's been a blessing for him. Thank yall!!💋
My car is the newer one with more bells & whistles, so I drive if we're together. He definitely leads the prayers. He is a sincerely praying man, which I love about him, so that's his role. He cannot cook, so I handle that, including any grilling. My mama learned how to grill from my daddy, and she taught me. I DO NOT TAKE OUT THE TRASH. Nah. My husband & son handle that. I just point out that the trash needs to go out. Dassit.

Driving is typically the man in my relationship and most the relationships I know, same with leading prayer, now with the grill that can be a little more 50/50 if she even wants to but imma be watching lol
I agree that it’s the man’s grill.
Dude can have all that. Long as that meat ain't burned or jerky like 😂. I can do inside sides. At this stage, I'm not a fan of driving. We have nothing to argue about. Life is good.

I want the person best suited to do things. I’m the cook, so makes sense I grill the most. I get car sick, so makes sense that I drive. I pray the most, just cause my wife grew up with praying men, but in general? Let the holiest one do the praying.
Let the lady pray, ain't nothing like a black woman's prayer.

I’ve been married for 21 years and I can probably count the number of times I drove the car😂. My husband says that I press the brakes too much and it makes him car sick. He literally would make me pull over so he can drive😂 Now, he just politely opens the door for me on the passenger side! Thanks for the conversation.

I agree with the grill thing. Since I fight Atlanta traffic more than my wife I do enjoy when she drives on the weekends.
Based on my experience with women that have driven me around, they don't drive very defensively. They all scare the ish outta me so i'll drive.
Whoever has the best skills should grill. If you the man and your grilling is subpar, put your ego aside and let the lady grill.
The Bible says that the man is the stronger vessel, but we also know that it has been tampered with. The man can pray but I think a woman's intention is also stronger.
P.S. Jemele, what's a good place to intern if someone is interested in sharpening their skills as a writer. Poems, short stories, essays things like that?
He is right!! My man grill is his, he would have a FIT if someone else was on his grill and tell everyone with no hesitation wtf u doing on my grill😂, 2nd he refuses to let me drive because he says a man drives u just sit and look pretty❤😂😂, and third we pray together

Ok Ian I was taught in my household that I learned both..the women could throw down..because both my mom and step both grill and drive and pray..lol so I seen from both sides🤣🤣
My husband is like this about His grill 😂 driving, I’m usually the pilot bc I get car sick and my husband does usually lead in prayer but it’s really not a big deal who does it, but I ain’t taking out no trash and he living. 🤣🤣 Thanks for the engagement with us! 🥰
Trash should always be taken out by the men. So does pumping gas. I do pretty much all the driving unless I'm sick. (My wife said its safer for men to drive) I dont understand that lol. As far as grilling goes it's whoever feels like doing the cooking.

Lol) he prays and he grills. And he takes out the trash. I take the trash bag out of the can cuz it’s a tricky way you have to put the bag in and out and he does it the wrong way every time which irritates me 😆😆😆
I was with you on the you make your own roles.... then when you immediately thought of something most women don't like to do you was like yeah that's one that should stay.... these sometimey rules is why this convo never gets settled
