- On this episode of Death By, Lauren Kalil and the contestants discuss whether the top training camp award further separates the sport from affiliates, or strengthens the sport as a whole, what the weight on the final barbell for the clean ladder should be, and predictions of who will win the event, which athletes will finish higher in some head to head battles, and their podium predictions at the CrossFit Games.

I agree with Matt. I don’t understand why this affiliate thing has blown up. It sounds like fun. Would it be better to not have it? I don’t think so. Was it created perfectly? Probably not. Who is it hurting? Nobody.
It’s just another reason that sport looks unprofessional adding in random awards with no thought 2 weeks before the games we’re some of the big training camps don’t even qualify it’s just messy and makes Dave look silly - you shouldn’t just add new rules whenever you feel like it - if the sport wants to look more professional than these things have to be properly thought out prepared and announced properly not just an off hand comment with no plan in some random video
Hopefully there will be crowd control for a free event if 18,000 people show up. 🙏 hopefully no streakers. Or maybe that will bring more viewers to the sport. 🤷♂️
