Arizona woman set to open marijuana dispensary with social equity license

- Arizona is among a number of U.S. states where selling marijuana is legal, with voters approving a legalization initiative in 2020.
Alicia Deals is one of 26 people to have won a so-called 'Social Equity License' in a lottery drawing, and she is set to open her own marijuana dispensary, becoming the first African American in Arizona to do so by using a social equity license.
There is a degree of irony to her story, as she is profiting from the sale of marijuana, even as her father is serving an 18-year prison sentence for selling marijuana, at a time when such sales were illegal.
FOX 10's Marissa Sarbak reports.

I hope she's successful!!!. Look like she knows what she's doing. She simply need a big name or two displayed with her brand. Someone like rapper Big Boi or such.
Big Boi 😂
@@RSKLove He's a Georgia rapper from the hit group Outkast. 🎤
@@celestialbeing5291, I thought it was the character from black mirror.
I've had that brand and it's absolutely wonderful
LOL
Keep it natural no chemicals. And they should sell clients over the age of 30 just to be safe. The mind is fully developed. Cannabis has alot of medicine once used correctly.
Her plants look healthy
And they say black people are oppressed smh America gives everyone equal opportunity
No one is talking about race here.. just stop 🛑
@@GR33ZY.A1 go cry somewhere else, I know you wanna feel oppressed lmao
@@GR33ZY.A1 and it’s the other way around white people are oppressed. That’s why I have to pay more for college opposed to all my black friends. And that’s why Black people are given grants opposed to white people Black people actually have more opportunity, so go cry somewhere else
@@GR33ZY.A1 white people are the ones that are oppressed that’s why we don’t get as much grants and we have to pay more for college
@@GR33ZY.A1 face the facts that’s why we have to pay more for college and we don’t get grants like you
wow i wonder if shes the owner of the new Cookies store !
she is
She’s not it’s owned by nirvana (their symbols are all over this video) who doesn’t even pay their employees right. They probably teamed up with her to use her social equity license. Look into it, it’s happening at a lot of dispensaries because it’s nearly impossible for regular people to set up a dispensary without help from an existing one. It’s costs millions to open your own store and the companies in the cannabis industry are taking advantage to help their own growth.
And licenses are very limited, so these companies want to take all they can
@@LadyDabs-nj5yg man what’s the deal with it seriously though. I wanted to look into opening a dispensary or even like a lounge where people can smoke but I’m having such a hard time figuring out the legalities.
wow which dispensaries do you recommend we buy from and stay away from ? @@LadyDabs-nj5yg
