FYI - Hiawatha contacted me after I made this video and told me the club had a capacity of 300. So, small indeed. Also, this video comes from her channel and I urge you to go to the O.V. and give her some love by subscribing and liking. Thank you!

After watching a ton of recent fan cams, I believe the ladies are just as happy playing in front of a big crowd or a smaller one. They just love to perform. For the fan, either has its pros and cons.

I saw the show in San Fran ... yes small venue. But being so close to the band was awesome. Their smiles, energy, and enthusiasm was front in center. Yes it was hot for them, I recall Asami making a comment during the show saying "it's hot up here". That being said Lovebites played their hearts our for us. And after the show they were so sweet to the fans taking time for pictures. Thanks for posting and thanks Hiawatha!

I was there, near the front, close to Asami and Miyako. It’s a 320 capacity (sold out) basement room, long and narrow, under a restaurant. The stage is so small that they had do a little dance to navigate past each other each time they moved from one side of the stage to the other. They played for 90 minutes, closing with Holy War.
The LA Echoplex is a 600 capacity music venue. They moved the show to there from the initially booked 300 capacity room. We the United was the closer.
Both shows were fantastic. They really did give it their all. Midori is constantly working the crowd. And Asami sang effortlessly with a powerful voice while charming everyone in the venue.
Notice how there are no amps on the stage. At both shows they played straight into the sound desk. That’s one reason the sound is reasonably good; the handycam was positioned in front of one of the two PA speakers delivering a mix of the entire band.
Miyako used the two MacBooks to control the backing tracks. The band entered and departed through the space behing the computers.

Is THIS the trigger for a Hollywood-production "Struggling of a extraordinary brillant Japanese heavy metal band to get appreciation in a motherland of metal and rock" ?
      Let's cross our fingers . . .

I notice Haruna's impeccable consistency playing 4 different kits for 4 shows! I also notice Asami's inconsistency in pronouncing "Be Free", going back and forth between the (english) a and e sounds. She never used the long e sound in the studio recording, though I think it would have been nice. But....gotta love Asami! She absolutely blew the roof off Atlanta! Her delivery of the most difficult parts that night were spot on, better in some instances than official live releases. It was a fabulous show!

The girls are very realistic about their pull outside of Japan and still deliver no matter how small the place. They did this whole "world tour" on a budget with no crew or gear - miyako basically ran their sound , monitors, clicks, backing tracks from those two mac books on stage ...you will not find a single show where they didn´t give 100% no matter technical problems, jet lag, sickness ...absolute pros every time all the time

THESE women urgently need some wealthy patrons who make their venue size Independent from the number of saled tickets; who is able to trigger a worldwide campaign for a remarkable bunch of musician art, no matter how small the current economic interests are today - in future, it can be a bonanza . . . .

The stage on Dallas was noticeably bigger. The capacity of the Echo Lounge is 1000 GA. It was an upgrade for a House of Blues venue with about 300 seats. I think there were around 700 ppl at the show. Hope this works for them the way it worked for Hanabie. I saw them last summer in a tiny place. I'm seeing them in Oct this year and they are *_2nd_* in a show with Born of Osiris and Jinjer.

Thanks, I enjoyed this, having been there, very close, elevated, to the right, in front of Miyako.
Miyako was audio-tech this tour, all run through PA, guitars, bass, drums & voice. Sounded LIVE!
Like this video, Asami's voice compressed by massive sound-pressure in a tiny basement "club".
Miyako had one laptop for backing tracks & one for in-ear monitors. FOH was run by 'the house' to Miyako's instruction. (all to the best of my knowledge/guess, open to corrections)
(This leads me to think they have all the isolated instrument & vocal stems from all these shows!)
All the fans were great, the performance was surreal, transcendent, relentlessly impressive, enjoyable & FUN! My own 'meet-&-greet' was euphoric, including significant recognition of other interactions, current & through the years. Expressions of familiarity. They are awesome people and simply phenomenal composers, arrangers & performers, musicians extraordinaire. I am the luckiest guy I know!
(well, Mr. Sugiyama may hold a bit of an edge on that "luckiest" claim! 😉)
I want to go to Japan more now than ever!

What a nice surprise to open up my browser and find this waiting. My understanding is Dallas holds around 5-600. LA held 600, so SF was by far the smallest. Yes, it was hot, and bunch of sweaty dudes packed in a small space can get a little rank, but the girls didn't show any sign they were bothered. Actually, I think they were even more amped than they were at ProgPower. Asami high-fived a lot of the people in the front row. We made room for three fans who are small women to take turns right up front, and one of them got a hand-clasp from Asami, which I think completely made her day. The band definitely didn't phone it in! Thanks again. (see your email for a personal note).

I don't feel bad for them at all ;) Been to two shows in Europe in similar sized locations, and they didn't really seem to feel "caged" - they made it work. They obviously love what they do, the emotional energy was there nontheless, and they feed off the palpable excitement of the crowd. Especially Asami makes so much contact with individual attendees, and not just the front rows, which is barely possible on big stages. She leaves me with the impression she would rather say hello to everyone personally, if she could (or was allowed by management 😄). Fami is also very actively engaged. For me it's been worth all the effort, and I wouldn't have blinked if the tickets were double or even triple the price. But to be honest I probably wouldn't bother going to an arena sized show, where I would probably watch the video wall more than anything else and listen to mediocre sound, compared to videos - I'd rather watch them on live stream or Bluray.

Yes, I think Fami is an early graduate of the Asami school of public relations! Or more likely, she's just naturally effervescent!

The Dallas venue (Echo Lounge & Music Hall) was indeed much bigger than that one, from what I understand we hand well over 500 supporting fans there. It first decided to be there then they had made changes to an bigger venue because of high demand of tickets. It was all for nothing no more tickets were sold so they moved back to the Echo Lounge. They show was amazing I got to yell (I Love you Miyako and she waved at me), Me and my friend loved and we had a blast Here is a link for another friend I met there so much better quality for your own pleasure ua-cam.com/video/WebfSbGs89g/v-deo.html

What a band! From the huge venues in Japan, to hole-in-the-wall pubs, they are genuine troopers; they have nothing in common with idol bands or the McMusic corporate consumer product served up in the West.

The 2 London shows they did in June/July this year were in similar sized venues. Intimate indeed. But they didn't seem to mind. The set list was a few songs less than their "full sized" shows but then again the ticket price was very low. Darn it I'd pay to see them in the back of a bus but what I'd really like is to see them in a descent sized venue with all their lights, lasers, platforms and pyro.
