If Gavin is 30, RoosterTeeth was created in 2003, and he started working in 2009 he's worked at RT for half of RoosterTeeth's existence. He hasn't worked at it for half of his life.
Bummed episode 500 is a live event :(. Was hoping it would be made special in some other manner. Live events are obviously cool for those attending but to me it just means a regular podcast with worse audio. Hope it ends up being something more than that.
Yeah have to agree with that. I've always skipped the live ones. That being said I also skip whenever they start talking about flying or internal RT planning. So pretty much every episode the last few years.
But I mean Off Topic Live is normally pretty good. I think their podcast lends itself to a crowd more since their always distracted anyways, plus more drinks for Michel.
Gavin or Gaggles pretty good live from the RT podcast, but I think it works better when their just getting into deep (and stupid) conversations with themselves where they can focus more and say more of what the want to say without worrying about the live crowd.
On what "Decriminalization" means. It is against the law to drive a car with a broken taillight. If a cop pulls you over, they can't just take you to jail and press criminal charges against you for it, but they CAN fine you. This is how "Decriminalized Marijuana" works, if an officer of the law finds you in possession of marijuana, they can fine you but they can't send you to prison (for simply possession) This, however, is not how it works in most of the U.S. where if the officer of the law were so inclined, they can impose stronger punishment for simply possession.
I live in Oklahoma and they test the sirens every Saturday at noon. My friends live a couple hundred feet from one, and I could feel the siren in my skull.
That reminds me of when the Slow Mo Guys were at RTX and someone asked Gavin about "the other guy" as Dan was off to the side right next to him. Gavin answered too. I'd be up for it, because you'd be like a constant photobomb. Psst hey *nudges person next to them* Who the f*** is that guy?
I'm in Liverpool, England, and almost every day a local warehouse in Woolton sounds an old air raid siren - so I grew up going to primary school and hearing this air raid siren going off almost everyday and it's definitely cool for a load of little kids
Favorite part of the podcast was when they were all conversing about if the podcast should be called Sunday Monday Egg, and Ashley sat off the set with a look of utter confusion as to why egg is involved. Her world had been rocked.
1:26:39 "I don't know what I feel about 3 bins" Not sure if it's all of Scotland, but in my area we have *5 bins. Five.* Green - general non-recyclable waste Grey - little bin (between size of toaster & breadbin), kept in kitchen for food waste Brown - food from grey transferred there and garden clipping etc. Blue - paper, cans, plastic etc for recycling Purple - glass bottles
I love the 3 teirs to the podcasts, teir 1 calm which is the rt podcast, teir 2 less calm which is always open, and teir 3 full crazy is off topic, love it😂😂❤❤
Burnie's talk on automaton and jobs is so true. CGP Grey did a video called "Human need not apply" 3 years ago on the subject that is an excellent discussion on how the rate of job creation doesn't match job automaton. So scary yet accurate today.
Why is it our duty to pay tax dollars to help those fleeing their countries when they themselves won't pay a cent of taxes in their lives while they are here? Never understood that.
In Michigan, they test the tornado/severe weather alarms which are old air raid alarms on the first Tuesday of every month. Kind of unnerving the first time you hear them without expecting it.
I'm actually from Grand Blanc and those sirens are for tornadoes. They test them on Saturdays at 1pm during the spring time. Its cool to hear my town mentioned!
I live in Michigan and they mainly use the sirens for tornados or extreme weather conditions. But I’ve only ever heard them for tornados and testing them
I miss rocking up to the supermarket and getting plastic bags there, but in the end it's probably a good thing that I don't use so many of them. LDPE (the non-rigid stuff) is quite hard to recycle into other products.
16:00 I consider myself a conservative and agree with most of what they said, but Barbara absolutely lost me there. They’ve probably had 10 times the events for the survivors of the school shootings
I’m a conservative myself but didn’t agree with what they said. With the Obama’s part specifically. They said we’re trying to dig a hole into his legacy but really it’s the fact that all the pictures of kids in cages is from his administration and that no one talked about it in his administration but the moment a republican president comes into office everyone hates on him for something that happened years or even decades ago. America is just showered in democratic news nowadays
Mrtheunnameable Yes but there was little to no mention of it during that time. The outrage now is because of who the president is. If it was a Democrat, there is a good chance there would still be little said about it.
ChevyCobb funny how conservatives say liberals always play the victim card but then turn around and say the whole world is out to get them because they're rightwing or that republicans are unfairly targeted and no one criticizes democrats
In my hometown in upstate/central NY our fire alarm sound is the old air raid siren. I grew up with it my whole life so I never think anything about it. My mom just moved into a house in town thats a 5 minute walk if that from the firehouse where the siren is. Again, grew up with this sound my whole life, the siren is pretty much in my aunts backyard, so I never thought to tell my husband about it or how loud it would be when we went and stayed with my mom. Well, it went off one day while he was taking a nap and he shot up, from a dead sleep, about 3 feet in the air and started freaking out. I explained to him then what it was and why it was so loud
We do have Ostriches in Australia but the more common bird you are thinking of is the Emu, they have a smaller sized egg but its a dark green colour, we also have Cassowaries which is basically an emu with a horn on its head, they live in the north of Queensland.
Easily one of the funniest episodes in the entire series. I haven't laughed this hard at an episode of the podcast and I've been listening and relistening to them for 6 years
I live in Oleam, NY we have the highest Black Squirrel population in the US and actually have dedicated and decorated statues of the squirrels throughout the town.
Haven't seen any of Westworld S2 yet, but from their convo, it sounds like they managed to pull a reverse mass effect (ie: story made better by its conclusion)
Ok they separate children from criminals. Illegally crossing enter national border is a crime. Therefore making their parents criminals. So either we don’t punish them for commenting a crime, or we lock the kids up too... you make up your mind, but I think separating the kids is the best option.
A lot of small towns use those air raid sirens as weather warnings and test them monthly. I've lived in small towns my whole life its a normal thing here.
How a country SHOULD deal with immigration is a political issue. How the US is CURRENTLY dealing with immigration is a human rights issue. Stop thinking this is about politics.
Just noticed that the ad read in this podcast for Nerdificent mentions Ify, long before AH started doing anything with him. Hearing Gus try to pronounce his name gave me a chuckle
Great podcast. Especially with how fast Gavin went from "vermin" to "Aww! Look at the little squirrel!"
Gavin has worked at Roosterteeth for half of his life. wow...
Worked? He started in like 2009
That 50% of RT's part of his life slowly increases as he ages. Insane.
If Gavin is 30, RoosterTeeth was created in 2003, and he started working in 2009 he's worked at RT for half of RoosterTeeth's existence. He hasn't worked at it for half of his life.
Burnie, gus, gavin, and Barbara are the best podcast squad
strong agree. There are some other good ones, but this is the best crew
Seriously, one thumbs up does not convey the level to which I agree.
Whydoilikepancakes and u forgot Gus
*Whoosh*
This is all because Gus doesn't introduce himself twice anymore.
I love that Eric is just as sassy and talkative from the control booth as he was on the Mega64 podcast. Glad to hear him succeeding
When Gavin said the goat egg I think I did everything, I coughed, burped sneezed and started crying because of how funny it was. Cheers Gav
Move over Pancake Podcast, it’s time for the Rooster Teeth Eggcast
They should contact Strong Bad. He has a lot of eggs.
The egg throw nearly put broadcast into cardiac arrest
Dude was out there to get it IMMEDIATELY!
Lol soooo true😂😂😂
Bummed episode 500 is a live event :(. Was hoping it would be made special in some other manner. Live events are obviously cool for those attending but to me it just means a regular podcast with worse audio. Hope it ends up being something more than that.
Yeah have to agree with that. I've always skipped the live ones. That being said I also skip whenever they start talking about flying or internal RT planning. So pretty much every episode the last few years.
Ya absolutely agree it's awesome that people can go see it but for most of us it just makes things worse
But I mean Off Topic Live is normally pretty good. I think their podcast lends itself to a crowd more since their always distracted anyways, plus more drinks for Michel.
AslyChair totally agree off topic live is way better then when the rt podcast is live
Gavin or Gaggles pretty good live from the RT podcast, but I think it works better when their just getting into deep (and stupid) conversations with themselves where they can focus more and say more of what the want to say without worrying about the live crowd.
"Heated political argument"
*Spoonful of ice cream sundae
"Serious problems"
*Sneaks vanilla treat
“What if one person bought all of them [the tickets]?”
“Wouldn’t it be great if we did a podcast for just one dude?”
New life goal acquired.
JovialJollyJames surely that could be a Guinness world record ?
I grew up in Michigan and have lived in the Midwest my entire life. We use the air raid sirens for tornadoes and other severe weather
Same, I assumed they did that every where.
barb and gavin is such a pure friendship; i love it
I love how quick Gavin changes his tone as soon as he sees the squirrel lol 33:10
Nothing beats the dynamic of these four
1:31:30 Burnie doesn't even know how to answer to Gavin 😂 gotta love Gavin lol
My favorite thing from this episode is just the soft "dsht" the eggshell made when Burnie cracked it on his head.
Gus: ''We need something for winter. Preferably Indoors''
Burnie: ''SMORES!!!''
I want to them roasting marshmallows on one of those convenience stores hot dog turners.
Is anyone here?? I miss burnie so much
On what "Decriminalization" means.
It is against the law to drive a car with a broken taillight. If a cop pulls you over, they can't just take you to jail and press criminal charges against you for it, but they CAN fine you. This is how "Decriminalized Marijuana" works, if an officer of the law finds you in possession of marijuana, they can fine you but they can't send you to prison (for simply possession)
This, however, is not how it works in most of the U.S. where if the officer of the law were so inclined, they can impose stronger punishment for simply possession.
Barbara's knowledge of Canada hurts me sometimes
The Egglegal Immigrants Episode
You make good videos. That doggo on the indy track made me sad though.
friskynixon get....out
Immigrants talking about immigrants...some, more than others...
you can totally tell it that the part at the beginning will be a animated adventure in a few weeks.
It's been so long since I consistently listened to these. Probably a good 200-300 podcasts. Good to be back
Sirens for tornadoes? Sometimes they do monthly testing and we forget what they were. (also from the Midwest)
Roeas Veyriel that's what I thought but I didn't even know Michigan got tornadoes(my own ignorance)
Yeah we do get Tornadoes in Michigan, its funny that Burnie has relatives in Michigan though!
air raid noise is very familiar in kansas specifically for this reason
I live in Oklahoma and they test the sirens every Saturday at noon. My friends live a couple hundred feet from one, and I could feel the siren in my skull.
Luke Trapwalker In Indiana we test the sirens every Tuesday I believe.
Million dollars, but... every time you’re on a panel, they forget to introduce you.
Sounds like the perfect scenario to me, get to be on the panel and noone knows who you are.
Tomcat757 But everybody is also giving you the stink eye for probably not belonging. Lol
Done. I'm never on a panel. Lol
Most beers have about a one year expiration time. A lot of hard liquors do not have expiration dates
I'm in Liverpool, England, and almost every day a local warehouse in Woolton sounds an old air raid siren - so I grew up going to primary school and hearing this air raid siren going off almost everyday and it's definitely cool for a load of little kids
"There's no nice way to say fingered" should be a shirt for On The Spot
55:04
It's the Morphogenetic Field Burnie
Favorite part of the podcast was when they were all conversing about if the podcast should be called Sunday Monday Egg, and Ashley sat off the set with a look of utter confusion as to why egg is involved. Her world had been rocked.
Barbra: *is grossed out by ostrich egg*
* *literally has talked about swallowing & eating things off the floor* *
Did anyone else think "Gavin must've said that" when reading the title?
Opinions on the subject aside. It's so funny that got brought up right as they started eating ice cream.
yessssssss, no hate for guests but the podcast crew is always the best
Yussssss but i do hate when Chris and Brandon are on... I dont like cringe stuff so eh
I agree, I only watch this podcast crew
ItsAstoria Rose I know this comment is old but that’s crazy. I love Chris. He tells such funny stories.
you can tell barb hasn't lived in canada for a long time...
1:26:39 "I don't know what I feel about 3 bins"
Not sure if it's all of Scotland, but in my area we have *5 bins. Five.*
Green - general non-recyclable waste
Grey - little bin (between size of toaster & breadbin), kept in kitchen for food waste
Brown - food from grey transferred there and garden clipping etc.
Blue - paper, cans, plastic etc for recycling
Purple - glass bottles
RT for sure doesn't read these but thanks anyway. Wheat harvest is underway and your podcasts are a welcome treat.
Winter is chili season! Have a chili off, who makes the better chili!
I love the 3 teirs to the podcasts, teir 1 calm which is the rt podcast, teir 2 less calm which is always open, and teir 3 full crazy is off topic, love it😂😂❤❤

13:40 Someone please make a sound bite of Gavin saying "Belg me oooh" so it can be my text tone?
2 years later: mp3[dot]fastupload[dot]co[slash]files[slash]1622911374
Burnie said "I would love that, I hate throwing food away" talking about composting but does he not realize he can do it really easily?
In Michigan, they test the tornado/severe weather alarms which are old air raid alarms on the first Tuesday of every month. Kind of unnerving the first time you hear them without expecting it.
Always wondered if I was related to burnie since I was 11 but after hearing he has family In the same state. Makes me order even more
Whaaaat!? What do you mean? There are constant talks, rallies, and marchers about School Shootings!
LostGamerz 1020 yeah, I felt Barbara made an ignorant statement when she brought that up
Cryptid_Hunter Definetly. I think a bit of what they said was ignorant, and some of what they said was agreeable.
LostGamerz 1020 barbra is the worst when she talks politics she never has any idea what she's talking about and just comes off ignorant and stupid
None of which the president has engaged in. That was her point
Parkland survivors berated the president when he invited them to come speak, so her point is moot.
I'm actually from Grand Blanc and those sirens are for tornadoes. They test them on Saturdays at 1pm during the spring time. Its cool to hear my town mentioned!
I live in Michigan and they mainly use the sirens for tornados or extreme weather conditions. But I’ve only ever heard them for tornados and testing them
This was a legendary podcast.
Tornado sirens in PA in my town are tested every first Thursday of the month. They are air raid sirens too
Perfect pronunciation of Ify Nwadiwe! HAHA
Ostrich eggs would've made that scene from Cool Hand Luke WAY different
They should do some kind of Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner podcast in Novermber/December. Burnie can do his deep fried jalapeno turkey thing.
The sound the egg made when they hit it on their heads was wonderful
Dog president would probably roll back funding for vets.
"What do they have weather sirens for!"
Tornadoes ???
They should implement my family tradition: Bender December. Gus needs to brew beer again!!!
I miss rocking up to the supermarket and getting plastic bags there, but in the end it's probably a good thing that I don't use so many of them. LDPE (the non-rigid stuff) is quite hard to recycle into other products.
Great title, that I assume are words of wisdom, from the lovely lad Gavin Free.
Yep. He says them within the first 10 minutes
I was so surprised to hear Clancy Brown's name around 21:10. Nobody ever knows his name. Nice one Burnie.
1:04:15 I thought Gavin was asking Barbara this question. Now I really want to know what her answer would be.
Finally Newcastle gets the shoutout it deserves... Never been so proud
that face ashely makes is the perfect expression upon hearing what gavin asked. 32:08 - 32:15
The volunteer department in my town still uses air raid sirens, sounds freakin amazing
The RT Podcast A Team has reunited. Finally.
"what kind of weather do they use those for?" Tornadoes. "It woke me up one morning." You mean the first Saturday of the month at 1pm?
16:00 I consider myself a conservative and agree with most of what they said, but Barbara absolutely lost me there. They’ve probably had 10 times the events for the survivors of the school shootings

America is just showered in democratic news nowadays
Kilroywashere 03 His point is that it was bad then too.
These events aren’t being held to justify throwing all gun owners in concentration camps. Trump’s rallies demonizing immigrants are.
I think I replayed the pop sound from Burnie's head about seven times.
As a resident from Michigan, the sirens are for tornado warnings during the summer and they start testing in like April or May
In my hometown in upstate/central NY our fire alarm sound is the old air raid siren. I grew up with it my whole life so I never think anything about it. My mom just moved into a house in town thats a 5 minute walk if that from the firehouse where the siren is. 37:55
I like how no one called gavin on the fact that there are 4 quarters, not 3
love how they STILL havnt figured out how Brexit is happening almost a year after Gus said that
I’m glad we’ve got the OG cast going.
Gavin's shoes are everything omg
RT got me hooked on that shriner cheer beer now I have been waiting... thanks
Easily one of the funniest episodes in the entire series. I haven't laughed this hard at an episode of the podcast and I've been listening and relistening to them for 6 years

Is it too late to get my ticket???
Oh dude thats so hype, the 500th episode will be on my birthday :D too bad I live nowhere near Austin lmao
Shout out to Grand Blanc tornado siren going off first Saturday of the month when I was little
1:32:10 so this was the moment i found out that joe the cat passed.... wow
Thank god someone brought up the pizza sphere. When I was watching live I was annoyed that they didn't remember it lol.
Ok they separate children from criminals. Illegally crossing enter national border is a crime. Therefore making their parents criminals. So either we don’t punish them for commenting a crime, or we lock the kids up too... you make up your mind, but I think separating the kids is the best option.

8:15 I love good old goat eggs
Wow that's so funny! 😂
i live in livonia, michigan and on every 1st saturday of the month a siren sounds off that is exactly like burnie described
THAT. IS. A. BIG. EGG.
Why is that mdb panel not available?
They're tornado sirens not weather sirens. Also Michigan has Black squirrels
The first Saturday of every month at 1 pm-ish has siren tests, at least in southeast Michigan
10:57 - 11:20 is just the greatest thing ever lmao.
yea im like burnie where the f did i learn that ostriches are australian lol i know its wrong but wtf why did my brain do that
I don't have penny's,i have cents.
How a country SHOULD deal with immigration is a political issue.
How the US is CURRENTLY dealing with immigration is a human rights issue.
Stop thinking this is about politics.
Underrated comment.
But US isn't a country anymore... It's just land full of rich hypocrites
Just noticed that the ad read in this podcast for Nerdificent mentions Ify, long before AH started doing anything with him. Hearing Gus try to pronounce his name gave me a chuckle
I miss burnie on podcasts so much
FYI Chameleons don't change color for camouflage, it more so depends on their mood.
Just want to point out flint Michigan and Grand blank Michigan are different
blanc*
