More people have died by 9/11 related illnesses through today than the people who died on that day, I’ve always believed the death toll should include those who passed by the dust over time.
Why would it? I'm asking for real, people smoke 50 or more years and live, what was it about the smoke that would make it deadly, especially if the exposure didn't last long?

It went down without resistance underneath. No pancaking.
@@letsif that’s not true. You can literally look at the collapse from all angles, and debris that falls from the building falls faster than the collapse point, which means the top of the building fell with resistance, but with negligible influence over the collapse.
Once one floor gave, the collapse has enough energy to progress to the street level from the initial collapsing floor.
If you knew basic physics, you’d clearly see that the suggestion that “there was no resistance below” is false.

I never understood why there were no US Army helicopter rescue attempts. They did not even attempt to spray the buildings with water and foaming agents that help smother the fire.
Besides there being no forest fire fighting aircraft in NYC and the fires being INSIDE the building, there was no way to land on the roof and no one up there to rescue.

I just hope whoever they are and where they may be are spared from any health troubles that has taken from first responders who have not been able to survive from it.
If I remember it right, the original reporter (Max Westerman) for RTL in the Netherlands who was there the day it happened and I think I hear in this video as well, also said he was reluctant about showing some of the footage. He also took up a search to find some of the people he helped cross the Hudson, to interview them 15 years later. I can still remember that because it was all over the news in the Netherlands at the time (2016 if I remember it right) and even though RTL is a commercial broadcaster with the NOS being the big public newsbroadcaster (and thus competitor), dedicated quite the airtime to this upcoming documentary about the reunion with the reporter and those victims.

A guy I went to HS with said he started working in NYC three months before 9/11. The building he worked at was evacuated and he told me he took a boat to leave Manhattan and get home. I don’t see him in this video, but it’s neat to see all of the boats taking people home.
Still remember this day and the days after like it just happened. Was living and working blocks away from yhe WTC at the time but was out of town and recently fired and went shopping and buying things for my new apartment
The collapse looks even worse from that angle...
SpookyGMD You mean
"the demo"
Gent Bar the fuck u mean? Even if it was a demo, it still has to collapse
Orion Meeson soooo dumb
so because ppl would complain
tear it off and destroy
palestine iraq syria afghan etc..
because ppl complain about ASBESTOS RIDDEN TRASH
Gent Bar people would protest about it not being blown up so the government just did an inside job.
SpookyGMD i
its so refreshing to know that place is plastered with uranium asbestos etc
wait for mutants to come out of the sewer
an amazing perspective of that day..
M-Cool you totally misunderstood the tone of my comment, wasnt saying the event was amazing, was saying that this particular view of the event was amazing because it was never covered in the media, of course its a tragedy.
+Adam S Taylor leave him be his just a tight ass who gets offended with anything
+M-Cool you're fucking disgusting
Christopher Whitener It's a shame how your small-headed ass doesn't fucking comprehend how it's these perspectives that cameras give that gave us the visual commentary on what was going on that horrendous day. How these perspectives, recorded for all time, showed us what went on. These perspectives add on to the historical archive of what was recorded that day and are a reminder for us all of what happened. It's anything but an insensitive comment like you oh so grandly assumed. And here you go making jokes about someone being in one those burning towers. I'm positive the asshole here is you.
Christopher Whitener That "joke" you're referring to wasn't even directed at me, you said it to Adam S Taylor. Keep track buffoon.
Great to see everyone helping out their fellow countrymen.
The people who used their boats to evacuate others from Manhattan are an undercelebrated group of heroes in this story.
Thanks for the footage!
A face appears in the smoke at about 1:53-1:54. It's so haunting
I feel awful for "liking" this video but it is amazing to be able to see this horrific moment in history and from different perspectives.
I know
Number mem please give me
You're good, videos don't have feelings
I'll never forget this day, coming home to my parents sitting in silence, with a look of absolute horror on their face, with the news showing these events unfold. No other tragedy has affected me half as much as this 1. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been to watch this in real, let alone for the poor people trapped inside. We will NEVER forget ❤️
Coronavirus was worse.
@@fishythenothosaurus5938 not even close! ! What a ridiculous and childish thing to say! This was HORRIFIC! !! You kids have zero respect!
@@jasonwebb5964 It is true, Covid is far worse than 9/11 because you can't just compare the amount of death from pandemic to a terror attack. Couple millions to almost 3000 is really far. But 9/11 is bad as well.
@@user-yj1vi4dm5p COVID doesn't even register on my worst things that happened in my life and millions of other people think the same. NO ONE who was around when 9/11 happened can say it didn't affect them at all.
@jasonwebb5964 covid affected the whole world regardless of if the people cared or not. 6 million deaths because of covid vs 3000 because of 9 11. Both were horrible but you can't say 9 11 was worse than covid
21 years and it’s still unbelievable
it’s been 21 years after this horrible event. I wasn’t alive during 9/11, but this is so sad. I can’t believe there are so many evil people in this world. God bless everyone, stay safe.
Wow. Nobody ever speaks about these heros but they absolutely should! Please repost and/or show on the news. These men and women and are also true heroes in my eyes. Thank you!
there's a movie and a documentary.
@@nomaddamon670 i have the movie on DVD staring Nicolas Cage as fire fighter "John McLoughlin" 2006 - World Trade Center
I had no idea! 🏅 🏆
They are my true heroes as well !
No need for news outlets to repost this. This currently has 6.4 million views - more than any news outlet could dream of.
Seeing that dog and some of those little kids covered in dust was awful, 😭
Don't be sad, dogs reincarnate very quickly

@Chris Serrani Lol.

1:35 "Another person, another person" and then the north tower collapses.
The person they're talking about is somebody who fell from the 106th floor northwest corner just 10 seconds before the north tower collapses.
the unsung heroes....the ones who with their boats helped take people off Manhattan.
God bless them
That's some good camera quality for a camera made before 2001.
Yuminous bruh
Yeah, no video recordings of quality ever existed before then. lol
Cameras were good back then, the problem was the computers memory and processors while rendering, they probably saved the tape and rendered again now years later with better technology
I mean, this was probably enhanced because I never saw high quality cameras from these years
You should see the stills shot with the Olympus digital camera. One photographer took pictures of his last moments.
as sad as this event was, it showed something very important: solidarity and the will to help.
r.i.p. to all the innocent souls who went to heaven that day🙏
I was a kid when this happened and watching this today my stomach still turns and my heart still breaks
I will never stop being completely shocked at the level of pure madness and evil of this day in September 2001. I am not shocked at the bravery and sacrifice of New Yorkers helping where they can against impossible odds. RIP victims.

still gives me some chills down my spine to see the footage again
I was a young kid when this happened, still such vivid memories from the news that day. Never seen this footage before, but those people rescuing everyone are absolute hero’s. Can’t imagine what being there would have been like...
I can't help but cry with anguish watching this video.
I'm always glad when I hear people say they were late to getting to work that day at the trade centers because they barely missed their fate. God bless and RIP 🙏🏼 to those who lost their lives to making it to work on time and, of course, for other reasons why they were there.
"God" seemed very powerless or didn't care about you.
It's astonishing that they fell down. I don't mean I don't believe the steel could melt and I'm not one of those idiots who believe it was an inside job. I mean it's astonishing to see and think that tons and tons of metal and concrete fell onto such a crowded place. They were so big that it's hard to imagine how it was to see them fall down. Just the ground vibrating, the sound, smells and people getting hit by rubble, dust, glass etc. If I'm not making any sense, it's just because it's really hard to get my head around it happening.
It’s easy to see a strong building. Weak and doomed buildings show signs before failing.
There were observations that indicated the towers were going to collapse, and helicoptered officers and observant firefighters saw the leaning and the damage
The lesser known heroes during these attacks. We have to congratulate their unselfishness.
I think the word you’re looking for is “Selfless” haha
@@tlankey5490 It would be "Selflessness" but unselfishness is the word I was looking for.
I was a baby when this happened, but I grieve this as much as any other American citizen. Every year around this date I make sure to refresh my knowledge of this tragedy and remember the ones lost, and the ones left behind and still suffering.
To all who personally experienced the horrors of that day 20 years ago the dead and living both, I give all of my well wishes and prayers for their peace.
We will never forget that day when the whole of America came together as a family united in grief, and held each other up through the days after.
Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And then when American 587 crashed…
I do the same. Watch the videos and remember those lost. We must never forget. Their lives had value. They were loved. They were important. I didn't know anyone personally, but they are all in my heart.
This happened a month before I turned 2 years old.
I was 2 years old. At the time my dad was driving me to my grandparents house in Dallas so he could go to work and he was listening to the Ticket and heard what was going down. So when we got there he told grandpa to turn on the TV and when they did the second plane hit the second tower. This is all from what dad told me of course I couldn't remember all of this since I was a baby.
2:31-2:47 NEVER realized the debris came out onto the water! This vid SHOULD be archived with the rest of the 9/11 footage!
The roar of them ripping apart as they fall is the hardest part for me, imagine hearing that as it comes down on you and around you...
I can’t imagine what conditions were like on the upper floors of the North Tower right before it collapsed. Such a terrible day!
It is known that the were some people, mostly facing north, who were still alive until the very end. Edna Cintron, who was famous for waving from the impact zone, was alive until the end. I’ve always suspected that someone from the very upper floors jumped at the very last second, perhaps crashing just as the tower started to collapse. From another angle from the North, I thought I saw a person jump (because of the speed of it’s fall). This video makes me think it could indeed be true. If you check closely at 1:34, someone says « another person » and the cameraman says « oh my god », and the tower begins to collapse within 5 seconds. I’ve always suspected this, from the west face of the tower, could be the last « jumper ».
@Johann Albrecht I bet.
A guy in the south stairwell described concrete shattering like glass and wobbling like waves.
Add heat and smoke.
@@guillaumegiroux9425 How could he have seen someone fall from there, we can't see it on camera.
This is going to be a little hard to believe but at 4:46 that little boy is somebody that I actually went to school with and he told me he still has that shirt and hat with the stains of ash and debris locked away. He also says that he and his dad were their to visit a relative who lived 3 blocks from the Trade Center.
Oh wow. He was so young then. Does he actually remember the details of it all? or is it kind of a blur?
I was still a baby when this happened and I had no idea there was people helping with boats and I always breaks my heart when in learn a new tragic fact about this piece of history
