In this video I am in the combined room of Chord Electronics, KEF, Innuos and Chord Company.
The mighty system they demonstrated cosisted od the NEW Chord Electronics Ultima Pre and Power (£90k) DAVE Dac and Blu MkII Scaler with KEF Muo Speakers, an Innuos Statement Server and Chord Company ChordMusic Cables.
The room was huge with a long echo as you can tell from the audio in the video

It's odd. I've heard the Muons three times and have yet hear them sounding really good. (I speak as a KEF owner so I'm kinda rooting for them!) The Blades on the other hand have always sounded good.
Too much bass. Bass simply overpowers everything. Sound low fi.

I stumbled across this video searching for Innuos statement reviews. I'm still patiently waiting for mine, I ordered in June (when they were expecting the first deliveries to be in August) and now it's the other side of Christmas - the delays are unreal.
barry jones I ordered mine in May and got it 22nd December. They appear to have sorted out their production issues as the dealer I bought it from then received another four shortly after. I’m very pleased with it though.

One would have thought that given the size, and cost of the system some steps would have been taken to address the poor acoustics of the room.
I have to say my favourite so far from the Show is the Primare/ Falcon system.
The Falcon BBC speakers? A friend at the show heard that room and described it very positively :)

since Chord Amps employ fast switching power supplies are they considered Class D ?
No think they are all class ab, it’s not the power supply they dictates the amplifier topology from what I know, which is not that much to be honest

So this room was the biggest disappointment of the show for me. That Reference system was easily over £100,000 and it sounded awful. I sat there for 10 mins or so and left. The sound quality was horrendous. I can only imagine the acoustics of that particular room were very poor. On the other hand, the new Hugo TT2 and MScaler I managed to demo with my Audioquest NightHawks sounded rather lovely :)
Yeah, too much reverb in the room. Needs a lot of room treatment, much more low-mid absorption and refractors.

It's 250k, not 250 million.
@@Audfile it's 250k per tower so 500k. LC 500 is around 97k, 1 story home with basement where I'm at is around 220k. So roughly around 510k. I'm still closer in numbers compared to yours.

Tho never liked KEF. Have promising conceptions but the overall result is sub par.

This system could have sounded so much better, there was so much echo. Only stayed in here of a couple of minutes due to the poor acoustics.
That was a difficult space, huge high ceiling and completely empty
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Agreed, maybe they should have chosen a different room to show the system at it's best.
@@daverushton4449 They room they normally go in had just been renovated and wasn't available. They don't get to choose rooms they are allocated and then booked up a year in advance.
Next year is completely different as the show is at Ascot not a hotel
@@PursuitPerfectSystem I gather the intention is to expand the show into high-end automotive and smart home technologies, so it will be interesting to see if the high-end audio element will be adversely affected.

What is with the music that gets played at these shows. I call it self congratulatory I m smarter than you because I listen to this music. When I show off my 40 year old Infinity IRS V I play something like the Firebird Suite or some remastered Pink Floyd.
Pretty ugly speakers but they make up for it with sound quality
