My youngest sister is double Pisces like Gemma and a couple years ago, when she was about twelve, my mom told me that she was worried my sister was very depressed because she just lay about in her sordid messy room. When I asked my sister if she actually felt depressed and why she’d been spending so much time in bed, she said “well you know, the stairs to our apartment were kind of tiring and steep…. and there was a very interesting pattern on the ceiling”. It might have been depression but it seems she was just taking life as I came 😍
P. S. I read that Virginia Woolf took her own life because she knew the world was on the brink of World War II and she had already lived through World War I and said she just couldn’t do it again. I love her writing, especially To the Lighthouse and A Room of One’s Own. She was a treasure.
Hi! We haven't connected in a while. My very long time brilliant friend is bipolar, as was Virginia Woolf (I also am a great admirer of her stream of consciousness novels and have 2 collections of her essays totally brilliant). Glad Gemma celebrates your sense of humour btw as do I ... my favorite was your confrontation with posters of boy bands on your wall which was priceless ❤🎶🎶😊😊On a serious note I've been worried about my friend Nicola because in the space of a year she lost her brother to Covid and her son, a reporter, to friendly fire in Israel. He was not welcome there but intrepid. I think she's rallying now and am so lucky she is in my life. Yesterday was a difficult day for me bit of an existential crisis to be pompous about it all but here we all are. In re: famous suicides yes Woolf took a reasoned decision which I respect. I've always been uneasy about the popularity of Sylvia Plath whose numerous moments of head in the oven Ted Hughes will save me just went wrong one day. Macabre subject I know. All that aside, very best wishes indeed and well met!

@@EvelynBaron That damn Ted Hughes! (Except that’s not funny, is it?) My condolences to your friend, Nicola. What dreadful things to happen. Soldiers dying in war is bad enough, but innocent civilians, reporters, animals, etc. - the thought just makes me sick. Loss is so difficult. I’m sorry you had an existential crisis. There seem to be a lot of those going around these days, not to belittle yours at all. This is a difficult time in which to be alive. I feel we are all being tested to the max and not just because of what is happening in the world, but in our personal lives and our psyches. I’ve been working on several writing projects and I seem to have trouble connecting the dots, so they may end up being stream of consciousness, even though that’s not what they were intended to be, ha. I’m good at beginnings and endings and not so good at the middle parts. I think that’s called a plot. 😊 I didn’t realize Virginia Woolf was bipolar, but I’m not surprised. My mom was bipolar, but I don’t think she was as much fun as Virginia. Instead of the manic part of the disease, she would be filled with rage. Rage or depression - choose your poison. I liked her better when she was depressed; at least I didn’t have to run. Take care of yourself, Evelyn. It’s always so good to connect with you. 💕

I think you’re right, Gemma. I think Saturn retrograde in Pisces is having a strange effect on time, especially with Neptune retrograde at the last degree of Pisces, casting his hypnotic, dreamy net over everything. I need to take your advice and have a conversation with someone because I wore myself out the last couple of days being very angry at someone who has repeatedly lied to me about paying back money she “borrowed“ from me. That’s something I don’t cotton to, as we used to say here in the US. I’m traumatized today after nonstop booming last night for the “celebration“ of the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, there are usually fireworks the night after. Also, for weeks before and weeks afterward, I’ll hear a large boom out of nowhere and just about hit the ceiling. It’s not fun. Thank you, Gemma!! 😊 I didn’t end up going out for breakfast this morning which worked out because I didn’t get much sleep due to the fireworks 💥. The sound bounces off the buildings downtown. The blasts were so strong they were the setting off car alarms as welll. Someone must have set something off in a parking structure because I heard their alarm also. I’m going to wake up super early to get groceries for the week before it gets too hot outside. I’ve also been working on clearing out things in my apartment I don’t need. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Thanks Gemma! Mrs Dalloway is probably one of my favorite books simply because the writing is so vivid and mesmerizing. It’s affected the way I see the real world, made it more intense somehow. I also love Virginia Wolf’s idea of the need for a yearly income and a room of one’s own. I really think it should be a human right 😅 It does seem to me that people who live/experience life with a high degree of intensity often don’t live as long. Whether is suicide, illness, or accident, they just use themselves up quickly, like a candle when the wind is blowing. Even if her life was comparatively short, she did a lot. Some of us need a lot more time 😅

One of my best friends is bipolar and her Dad also bipolar was my father's best friend. He committed suicide. Like Virginia Woolfe he was truly loved and knew it. It didn't matter. You weren't meant to go, what can I say.

I love Dolly Parton too.❤ She is so sweet and tangy too! Prolific in all the right places!😂 She is magic especially in a movie. The movie 9 to 5. There is a timeline I gave up on. Ive never been a great earner in life. The hours just didn't work with my little family of 3 girls. Super single mom for 40 years. I had to use my time wisely. 9 to 5 did not work for me but doesn't mean I didn't work. I produced 3 girls who are great earners! So my happiness is complete.😂❤❤❤

Public speaking, remember my first time Gemma. Had to give a service for Korean veterans, my script shaking in my hand! But I survived and went on to give many more public speaking services for veterans.
Now, how am I spending my time listening to your reading for the weekend. Cleaning the visitors shower cubicle before they arrive tomorrow. Best results with a mix of bicarb vinegar hot water and a few drops of detergent. Afterward, wipe down glass and tiles with a squeegee. streak free finish 😊
While we like visitors it's nice to wave goodbye as well.🤭

True, not easy but going slow with the page of pentacles works for me for now because I tend to go fast, finding solutions for others and work.
Where as dimming my fire a bit and picking up on my boundaries and letting my besties know I need some time for myself, wasn't easy but well needed. I just do what I can. Not being selfish but doing some self care and giving myself some time for some introspection. Recharching my batteries.
Things coming up all the time and I am attracted to go for it. But putting my own things to do on the back burner and prioritise others needs, wasn't good and could have lead to a burn out.
I'm learning all the time and love following your card readings Gemma. They give me confirmation and a better overview.

Saturn in Pisces (retrograde). Saturn is about structures, systems, authority, responsibility, lessons through limitation; time. Pisces is the realm of the unconscious and reflective of the Oceanic contents and depth of the Soul. I feel that Saturn in Pisces is swimming in two directions. On the one hand, Saturn is going through a process of dissolution of his own boundaries and controls, and all the structures in the collective unconscious pool of awareness, so that what rises to the surface to be seen, are the illusions and deceptions that permeate through this world, that is the Maya. On the other hand, Saturn in Pisces is having to dream into existence, new structures that are based on spiritual and visionary imagination. This is creation in the realm of thoughts, visions, dreams ... yet unable to become formed because Pisces is the formless field of consciousness itself. The retrograde is an internalisation of authority and responsibility in each of us as individuals, and as a whole human collective ... this connects to the eclipse window in Aries, (and to Chiron) and the healing of the wounds of existence in the individual; the wound of separation from Self, from Source. It's all connected. The retrograde is making this stitch in time, to anchor into the fabric of reality and the consciousness field, those principles of how we want the world to look and work as we move in to a new future. When Saturn makes his conjunction to Neptune, in February 2025, at the zero/1st degree of Aries, we are then literally entering into completely uncharted territory and new beginnings. The period of time we are now in, is the completion phase of the old cycle. This is the end. (Tetelestei - 'It Is Finished'). Neptune is the gatekeeper who rinses everything that connects with him. Saturn is the parent who must relinquish his controls and let go; be dissolved. Consider that this is reflective of the governmental systems of the world and how things have been. We can directly see this in the 'world out there.' Everyone takes responsibility for this creation and becomes their own personal authority. At the same time we are healing the wounds within the self/other relationship dynamics. This is the Aries/Libra axis, where the eclipse cycle began in late March and early April.
Boom ... it really is as profound as this. This is just my particular take on the astrological transits and how I see a never before experience change in motion. If this resonates ... don't shoot the messenger.

Yeh, lads in work, in my Team want to get me out on my Birthday, the 15th, I'm 59, and meet up in Town, the Waterfront,City Centre of Bristol, but it's not really my thing, I despise Town, full of drunken people, louts, idiots, egos, posers, prima Donna's- and trouble!
I prefer to spend the day on my own, next Saturday, the 13th, the day it's planned, I really can't afford it,is another reason, so gonna tell them tomorrow, break the news to them gently, as I'm working Saturday, I stopped going into town socially a few years ago it's really not my thing no more 🤔😔😒

@Gemstonetarot thanks Gemma, we're a kindred Spirit I guess, us Water Signs lol, my job is pretty full on anyway, frontline, in the Public Eye, always being watched, judged, as I'm a Traffic Warden now/ Civil Enforcement Officer, so I'm kinda monitored all the time, the pressure is on from the word go when the shift starts and begins.
Nowadays, I've become more of a hermit, enjoy my space, my free time, down time and private life/ time , with no one watching you.
I come home, shut the door on the outside world, and I can be " just me" , be myself, unwind,relax and chillout- inbetween chores, jobs around the home, just need that calm and peace and rest, when I can, once everything is done,as I've got older,the time flies by. The days and weeks go so quick, I've noticed this several years ago when I turned 50.
So , naaa, think I'll give town a miss this year 😉👍🏻🩵🙏
