Downtown was a ghost town back then and the streets were only used for people who actually worked there. It's impossible for a grand prix to ever happen again in downtown unfortunately, with the rail, narrowed streets with added bike lanes, and uneven patched streets. I was 7 when I went to this one, such a great experience.
It's a shame I never got to go to the IndyCar Shell Grand Prix at all as a Houstonian especially the final 2 years (2013-2014) since I didn't knew much about ticket information for such races

@@DrColoso Grid Autosport? I know that game. It was actually released 8 days after the live premiere of LoveLive Sunshine the movie Over The Rainbow bro. That movie premiered on June 16th 2014, whilst GRID AUTOSPORT released on June 24th 2014.
The hardly track of Newmann Haas in PS1, "Rightangle kingdom" The CART 1985-2005 are very interessant era of the Indycar. With a first european racer at total time in the championship. And in 1993-94 one french little team and Frank Freon the first french driver in Indy longtime after of domination of Bourdais and Pagenaud.
This was the season the great Paul Page started to be past it. Sounding like a folksy old timer, 'gee, remember when so-and-so's belts came loose?' Missed Bob Varsha who had become the superior racing broadcaster by this time. Jon Beekus sounds more and more irritated with him lol.
