Amistad Elementary School Phase 1 Video Footage

The new detached addition to Amistad Elementary is almost finished. It'll be ready for students when school starts on Aug. 27
The building has 22 classrooms, a gym and offices, and will hold students in grades 3-5.
In the second phase of the Amistad project, the original school building - which opened in 1992 - will be replaced with a new 20-classroom school that connects to the Phase 1 addition. It will hold students in kindergarten through second grade when it's finished in August 2020.
Amistad's total classroom count will be 42 when both phases are done.
The Phase 1 addition is paid for by a K-3 class size reduction grant from the state.
