Super7 really knows how to make things look good, but quality is middle ground and then it feels like a stick up when you see the prices. That’s said, I love and adore the reaction line and I recently bought some of the ultimates sales over the holidays. I do not own any gi joe ultimates… cats lair should be coming soon(gulp in throat).
In order to maintain that hefty price some select figures are short run. I find it funny the smallest figures are sold out: Kit, Kat and Snarf from Thundercats
There are 4 main villains, 3 heroes, and 2 signature vehicles remaining. This excludes any deep cuts. They are incentivized to stretch this out as long as possible like releasing waves of 3 characters, getting the main characters out there again (a la vac metal versions and exclusive colorways), and creating other figure forms (5 inch?, ReAction, ReAction+, etc.). In reality, they could finish the mainline in 2 waves including a "charged up" Mumbo Jumbo. However, most collectors who simply wanted the 5 main Hawks can at least sleep well at night.
No they are always different, especially the layout, where accessories are in the box. Considering that they pride themselves on piece count and accessories I’d assume that they’d really sell that us.
That is one of the issues because that render is all you have to go on when you preorder. When it arrives "SURPRISE" and sometimes it is a good surprise.
We need need need more 3.75” o-ring Joes! Let’s get a 1983 style cobra soldier so we can build army’s without spending $50-$100/fig! Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase Super 7, you’re are only hope!
I’m really concerned about Super 7’s GI Joe Ultimates line. I believe we have some hope for some obvious repaints like Tiger Force, and Python Patrol. But, I’m also looking for at least a Cobra Officer which should be an easy slight re mould. Here’s hoping we get more figures than that though.
I have the main Thundercats, and after Copper Kid I will have the main Silverhawks. Like everyone I have been patient with the QC issues, the prices, and the time it takes to get the product in hand. That being said I think after Copper Kid I need a break with S7.
The renders did not match the product and that is all you have to go on for preorders. We were getting in hand update vids for a while to see the actual product but the last one of those was over a year ago
I think Silverhawks ultimates right now have more life than GI Joe Mike... In the last Brian Flynn interview's he mentioned Thundercats and Silverhawks going strong and for that reason there's more talk about possible big vehicles for the Silverhawks line. Next wave will be cartoon figures... I was not expecting a second wave of you colors based on what Brian mentioned on sales but it looks likes sale's were better on for that reason they continue doing the toy colors. I can see Cooper Kid coming in you colors before the end of next year... 😀💡👍☕ Thundercats and Silverhawks are willing to preorder while most Joe collectors don't. That's why the Joe's are now an in stock items...😀💡☕👍
Has super7 had anything new at all other than their figures at the 30$ something price tag? Seems like they realize they have to rebrand because when people know they can get everything at a massive discount, they'll never pay retail for it and then they'll go under so they have no choice but rebrand or change somehow before offering new items. wouldnt be shocked if they change the name from S7 at some point.
@ they do look beautiful (having seen them in the shop) and while I don’t handle my figures much I do want to be able to with confidence. I hope Super7 do a 3rd with the moulds with a durable silver paint but also I hope they continue the line as Flashback and Condor were cool
They screwed me over for years with the silverhawks. I have a very bad impression of them and they’ll never get another dollar from me. If they had to borrow 25mil to stay operational, they’re done already and they did it to themselves.
Price doesn't equal quality on really any of their figures. I sold off my Super 7 Silverhawks, they were a massive disappointment. I think I will just stick to the vintage Kenner line.
I got chromed Steelheart, wasn't interested in the entire collection, especially the first waves where they said it was impossibruh! I'd go in on a nice Melodia, but she has to be super nice.
I’m so glad you mentioned people struggling in the economy, most other channels haven’t or refuse talk about this problem, thank you! Also the fact that you’re honest about being a “shill” for super7(LOL) is refreshing. I’ve never wanted nor will own any of their figures, but I think it’s super rad that you enjoy them so much!

Yep they do have some QC issues but most of mine work fine just like to fall
Their price is out of hand
Especially when these 50% off BBTS sales come once a year.

Is it just me, or does anybody else think Mumbo Jumbo should've been bigger?
Milking the line because there are not many characters that will sell well. I am in on all characters especially ones Kenner never made
@@TheBigBigSean Yes I think of him as a big character
I just noticed that even the packaging render doesn’t match the production.

They could've just used silver paint for Silverhawks, I would've been happy.
Yep many things they could have done but Vac metal is the best way to go
I have bought 5 or 6 of the Super7 Joes but was on the fence with the Hawks. Just buying my favorite Joes and Cobras currently.
You might be able to get a set of used 1st run hawks for a good price
2:16 😄😃 priiiimmmerrrr hawks!!
🦅
Got that one from Retroblasting

Hey Mike, I hope you enjoyed a very merry Christmass!!!
Hope you had a great Christmas also
I opened the Ultimates Destro and it’s so loose it can’t stand. Their QC is trash. It’s an insult
There are great figure stands you can use. For the price, you shouldn’t have to. But, I use them on all of my Ultimates Joe’s.
Sorry to hear that! My Destro stands well but others have had a few shelf dives but nothing broke

That is why I never quit Classified because even if Brian keeps the line going it would take 50 years to complete the line
Interesting changes, thanks. That green Silverhawk looks cool too.
I would love to see him in the line and also Vac metal

I do hope they finish the Hawks and more villains, but I do understand your feeling about all this
Merry Christmas. I hope Super7 continue with great stuff like ThunderCats as along with Ramen Toys they are the best.
True and I want to see these teams complete! Hope you had a great Christmas also
I'd be into Silverhawks from S7 if their scale was more vintage. Not down with the 6inch scale, for any of the Ultimates.
Super 7 still has not shown any Reactions figures and those need to be full Kenner Scale
They only ever did renders. So why is that a problem?
The renders did not match the product and that is all you have to go on for preorders. We were getting in hand update vids for a while to see the actual product but the last one of those was over a year ago
Vac metal Quicksilver and Steel Heart are in stock at Super7 with Quicksilver now "low stock".
Cool thanks for the info. I ordered a reissue Quicksilver from BBTS and they are shipping
I would definitely be in on proper colored re-releases. Don't mind supporting a property I love.
This line will only go on for so long and one day we will be looking back how good we had it even with the issues

Good point I did not watch the whole interview but I figured he touched on JOE elsewhere in the interview, Thanks for the info
Special occasion release for G.I.Joe conventions or store exclusive. I like the regular versions of SilverHawks a lot.
I am also happy with the standard ones but like the Vac metal ones a bit more

Only thing new are Gi Joe repaints like Storm Shadow v2, Red Cobra Commander from Action Force
Not brave enough to buy the vac metal toys but I would definitely buy Quicksilver in silver same way Ramen Toy did.
I am brave enough to buy but not brave enough to open yet LOL
@ they do look beautiful (having seen them in the shop) and while I don’t handle my figures much I do want to be able to with confidence.

This wings on the toy version of quicksilver is the silver the body should have been
Copper Kidd looks pearlescent.
He does sparkle
Super7 know how to make their promo pictures look good. It's downhill from there lol.
Most of the figures look good but do not match the renders at all
They screwed me over for years with the silverhawks. I have a very bad impression of them and they’ll never get another dollar from me. If they had to borrow 25mil to stay operational, they’re done already and they did it to themselves.
Brian did address that and acted like that was normal for an established company. That level of funding was alarming
Price doesn't equal quality on really any of their figures. I sold off my Super 7 Silverhawks, they were a massive disappointment. I think I will just stick to the vintage Kenner line.
Sorry you felt that way. Did you have to sale them cheap? What if Super 7 makes Tiger Sharks?
Wish the Ramen Toys Silverhawks line was more fleshed out. It’s a much better line than Super7.
Well they had to stop for understandable reasons but yes were great figures
I got chromed Steelheart, wasn't interested in the entire collection, especially the first waves where they said it was impossibruh! I'd go in on a nice Melodia, but she has to be super nice.
I wanted Steelheart but did not like the purple color so I opted for the non chrome one. If they made the color right I might pick it up.
Melodia is one of the needed figures and so many cool characters I hope they get to
@@Roca891 Yep her color was off

Cool brother
Thanks
Finish the cartoon stuff first
