hearing this from someone I had never previously heard of was chuffing revelation. Utterly brilliant and I have been a massive fan ever since but, for me, this still defines what the Manu Chao vibe is and what a star - even though he obviously hurt his leg pretty badly he kept going. Just love this guy

This is the best band Manu Chao (solo) ever had. Bidji added so much and B-roy on Accordion. He has made great music since but this band had magic. Probably too good to keep everyone in it together and happy. I remember watching Glastonbury and turning over from Stereophonics (yawn) to this... wow what the hell is this!? Got 'Proxima Estacion' the next day. Sounded amazing but also not much like this. Manu Chao enigma... and then discovering Mano Negra...!
