  • I decided to rebuild my A-frame Shelter after it was destroyed some time ago. After having a good look over it all, I realized that most of the wood wasn't damaged, it had just been pulled apart so I spent 2 days building it back up.
    SHELTER/CAMP :
    A-Frame Fern Hut
    Wooden Bed (Moss Mattress)
    Prep Area
    Cooking Shelter
    Oak Deadfall Bench
    Clematis Lashing
    PUMP DRILL FIRE :
    Buddleia Drill (Butterfly Bush)
    Slate Rock Counterweight
Jute Cordage - 2 Ply Reverse Twist
    Willow Fire Board
Tinder - Bracken and Paper Birch
MUSIC FROM MY OUTDOOR PLAYLIST :
    ‪@BrianTylerComposer‬ - Prime Returns
    ‪@BrunuhVille‬ - Winter Wolf

I hope you enjoy my 1st video
    Thanks for watching

Hi Guys, hope you like the quick rebuild of my A-Frame Shelter. It was originally fully covered in moss but after it was destroyed, I decided to cover it in Ferns as I didn’t want to use that amount of moss again knowing that it could possibly be destroyed at anytime 🌿
This was my first attempt at creating a Slow Motion, Outdoor Music Sequence and trying to make it Powerful and Meaningful with Music choice, Pump Drill, Slowmo Fire, Full Moon and Shelter Vibes 🔥
    SPECIAL THANKS to
    Brian Tyler (Prime Returns) and
BrunuhVille (Winter Wolf) for letting me use there music for these Scenes 💚

I've been watching these type of videos for the past 6 months or so and have learned a lot. Above and beyond the skill of bushcraft this one was inspiring . You can feel his serenity, the satisfaction of a job well done and complete inner peace as you watch- which I've never felt before in any you tube video. You have more than just bush crafting skills my friend. .

So i thought it was time to show all this together. I'm really happy that people are feeling the vibe that i'm trying to put out :)

Really awesome video! Reminds me of my preteen and teenage years in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Sometimes I would just say "be back in a week or so". I'd walk miles into the forest and build a lean to, and just live off of the land. Even now I get calls from family telling me that they've found one of my old sites. Oh, the memories

I didn't see a thing wrong with it, and had no idea this was your first video. My immediate thought was, 'this is a professional videographer' making this video. I didn't see any of the mistakes amateurs usually make when they are starting out.
I have seen the components of the pump drill before, but the ones I saw did not have the flywheel rock so it was confusing. Seeing it actually work explained it all. Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next video!

That is the Hilton Inn of bush camps , well done. Your pump drill ( that style ) is something I have not seen in 60 plus years of camping.
Here in the good old heat and humidity of Florida I have a different style. To combat the heat , Mosquitoes , biting gnats , Ticks , and all the rest of the little critters that like a blood diet. I put a Jungle Hammock , Therm-a-rest self inflating air mattress ( inflated about 50% at night ) and a rain fly in my backpack as a shelter. Easily transportable , comfortable , light weight and leaves no trace of me ever being there.

Many thanks for watching Chuck, very grateful! Yes its a basic style Pump Drill but works well :) Your set up sounds awesome friend, i can imagine how bad they all get with the Florida heat lol, its not so bad here in Wales. Ive got myself a tttm hammock and tarp for when i am on the move and love using it "Quick camp anywhere"! looks great , you need a wombat too move in and dig a massive hole under your bed and a few large goannas and a few poisonous snakes or ten . I have always liked northen hemisphere forests , but the aussie forest is a bit drier and loaded with things that want to kill you , but the wild life is stunning the flora unique and the stars go on forever. yes i had numerous wombats dig massive holes in and under my campsites and some structures i built as well , think of a hole big enough for you to crawl in about forty meters long right in the middle of your site.

I keep thinking about going to find the most isolated place possible in the UK. and giving up everything I know. My phone, internet, hot running water, and just living off the land....would be great coming home to my shelter night after night, lighting the fire with all the wood i collected throughout the day, cooking the rabbit stew then sleeping under the stars....bliss!

    • @NaturallyPrimitive

Thanks for the comment Sophie......(Rabbit stew, sleeping under the stars) Hell yes....it really does sound bliss.....take me with you please :) I'm from Wales and this shelter is in a quiet part of my local woodland but i would love to do exactly what you said and go and build a shelter off grid. I think about doing it all the time but at least i can spend a few days at this shelter which is bliss too. Many thanks for watching :)

Cool video always loved the great outdoors from a very early age always loved the A frame. I've been wanting to get back to the great outdoors live style for a very long time would love to get some land fields surounded with woodlands/forests and just live life of grid just the sound of nature etc and just go into town/village for needed supplies I hate the hustle and bustle of the overlay noisy messy smoggy cities town's etc 🤞 crossed and the sooner the better i'l be able to follow dreams of getting to live off grid and get back to the great outdoors
