Best decision I ever made in my life. American women are not worth the trouble. You know, have fun with them if you want, but do not make the mistake of marrying one. That is when the grief comes.
I wish more Filipinas would wait till marriage, it would really fix the Single Mother problems over there. In America our women are so hyper independent and disrespectful you could never hope for that for them. The only value American women see in men is monetary.
I understand what u mean them waiting for marriage but I don't know if that will fix single mothers in the Philippines because many men marry and still leave. And then the Filipina is stuck in a marriage without the ability to get a divorce and no father in the home.
Locals and foreigners leave the Pinay abd their kids, married or not. So marriage is not a guarantee. Also the Pinays dont have money to engage a lawyer to fight for their rights. Also Pinays are too kind and compassionate to fight and so meekly bears the cross as a single mother. It's the duty of the government to help them get their rights

In 2013, I learned Harana from a documentation made by a young Filipino man born in the USA. He found and recorded old men in the Philippines that were still able to play Harana songs. The young Filipino man presented his new documentary in the theater at our 2-year Community College of San Mateo. I learned that “Harana, as the song introduces, is an old Philippine tradition of courtship in which a man bears his heart in song to a woman (and sometimes vice versa), while standing underneath her window at night.” With Valentine’s Day approaching, we looked back at a Filipino tradition that illustrates one’s love in the form of romantic songs. After the presentation, I knew that the concept of Harana was always a part of me. I dream of giving Harana to the parents and the woman of my dreams in the Philippines because our Sicilian mother was a "TradWife" with parents that were married at age 15 and 16 in Sicily and had 9 children born in the USA. I love to sing, but I wish I knew how to play the guitar better. I guess I would need to play famous Harana recordings to the woman of my dreams in the Philippines. Harana would be a great subject for one of your next videos.

I saw references regarding Mindanao being unsafe. I would estimate 90% is actually safe while I couldn’t recommend you travel to the other 10%. I lived there and was never in danger but the locals would tell me which areas not to go to. You have to use good judgment on travel times and locations.
Marawi City had some problems a few years back. People died. But I had a lot of interactions with Filipinos living about 30 miles away, and they had no problems.

I just spent three weeks in South Cotabato; many days in Koronadal, Lake Cebu and surrounding areas. Very safe. I saw VERY few other ‘Canos’. The people are very friendly.

I'm very slow and cautious, but she does seem especially mature and calm in these regards. Traveling to Mindanao is not safe for foreigners. If they refuse it may not be personal. A better idea would be for the girl to bring a female relative and meet elsewhere, so that the girls safety can be assured as well. Filipinos/filipinas rarely know about things like security issues, outside of their immediate area/Baranguy. Everything for them is extremely local.
It's a lot safer now then it used to be, the extremists got defeated by the Philippino army, rangers, marines and ordinary people in fierce door to door combat, look for the video's here, it is one of the most insane things I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen a lot :)

You also have to remember the foreigner has probably traveled a very long way already, you could meet in the middle and travel to his location in the Philippines

I would like to point out a word that I hear you and your friends say often when talking about something you experience that is new or different from what you are used to. That word is ignorant. Now, technically, it is correct to say: In Dumaguete, there were a lot of lights, and I felt ignorant. The definition of ignorance is lack of knowledge and untrained. While it is not said, when used, ignorant has a negative connotation to it as in: Your just and ignorant boy. A better word for you to use, which conveys more of an innocent quality, would be naive. While there are a few different definitions for naive. The one that I think fits the best in the context of having a lack of experience or knowledge of something new would be: Having or showing the lack of experience, judgment, or information. Credulous or unsophisticated. As in: I was very naive when I arrived in Dumaguete. I found myself being overwhelmed by all of the light as I wasn't used to them. I'm only pointing this out because I find you ladies to be far from ignorant. You are very bright, intelligent and knowledgeable about many things. I hope you don't take this comment in the wrong way. I really wrested with the decision to send this comment as I don't want you to think that I'm looking down on you. I only want others to see you ladies as I do, which is magnificent.

So I have educated two ladies and continue to educate the kids and support the less educated of the single moms. The ladies are now employed and the least is the auntie and mother to the kids during the week. Both kids are great in school at 87% and 93%. We Christian men are asked to remember the widows and orphans. How is a young single mom not a widow. How are the fatherless not orphans. So guys, when you ask for family, you may get a bucket full.

Also, it shows the character of the woman. I met a Filipina, and after talking for a month, I arranged a flight from the US. Then, in 3 months, I came there. I slept beside her, and we didn't do anything for 3 weeks. And I was OK getting to know her and not doing anything. You have a woman that is a good woman you would easily wait. Then since then, we have been talking every day for hours LDR. I'm coming back to visit again after 5 months. We are planning to get married as soon as she finishes college. We might meet before then if I can move there, which I am possibly planning to try to do next year at the end of the year or the beginning of the following year. Yes, I appreciate the fact that she's not like the women here who will just sleep with anyone and don't really care about those things. Providence girls and their being like this is a breath of fresh air. Then you see people like yourself and her, and you are like yes, marrying her, you know you have a loyal, good woman. I would like to point out a word that I hear you and your friends say often when talking about something you experience that is new or different from what you are used to. That word is ignorant. Now, technically, it is correct to say: In Dumaguete, there were a lot of lights, and I felt ignorant. The definition of ignorance is lack of knowledge and untrained. While it is not said, when used, ignorant has a negative connotation to it as in: Your just and ignorant boy. A better word for you to use, which conveys more of an innocent quality, would be naive. While there are a few different definitions for naive. The one that I think fits the best in the context of having a lack of experience or knowledge of something new would be: Having or showing the lack of experience, judgment, or information. Credulous or unsophisticated. As in: I was very naive when I arrived in Dumaguete. I found myself being overwhelmed by all of the light as I wasn't used to them. I'm only pointing this out because I find you ladies to be far from ignorant. You are very bright, intelligent and knowledgeable about many things. I hope you don't take this comment in the wrong way. I really wrested with the decision to send this comment as I don't want you to think that I'm looking down on you. I only want others to see you ladies as I do, which is magnificent.

I met a Filipina, and after talking for a month, I arranged a flight from the US. Then, in 3 months, I came there. I slept beside her, and we didn't do anything for 3 weeks. And I was OK getting to know her and not doing anything. You have a woman that is a good woman you would easily wait. Then since then, we have been talking every day for hours LDR. I'm coming back to visit again after 5 months. We are planning to get married as soon as she finishes college. We might meet before then if I can move there, which I am possibly planning to try to do next year at the end of the year or the beginning of the following year. Yes, I appreciate the fact that she's not like the women here who will just sleep with anyone and don't really care about those things. Providence girls and their being like this is a breath of fresh air. Then you see people like yourself and her, and you are like yes, marrying her, you know you have a loyal, good woman.
