Oh, definitely! If only you could see the picture I took of it... just.. wow! I just wish I took a picture of the tank as a whole. It was massive and contained like 15 of them!!! 😨
Love these guys, had my pair spawn for the first time just before last Christmas. They get less mettalic and almost glow when they are in breeding mode. Glad i keep them in a community ca tank though cause argentra just don't mantain the pair bonds after they are done breeding.
I think the one I'm lucky to have found is amazing, Just a amazing, stunning Maskaheros Argenteus ! Actually purchased him at my 1st GCCA swap almost 2 years ago now. He's doing great and when someone stops by they love it and often ask if it's a saltwater fish.
Last guy is the most striking but if I had to take one home I’d go the Flametail as it’s compatible with my guys! I have a flametail juvenile from a great source so hopefully mine grows up all pretty!
Beautiful vieja argentea! I would like to get myself some pretty soon. I have vieja synspilum, and I would like to get several different species of vieja and other central and south american cichlids.
I have a hybrid of two hybrids that I would love to breed and make more of but I only have one... the flowerhorn parrot cichlid. such an amazing looking fish. just picked him up a few days ago and is fantastic looking. he's really small right now but I have seen some videos of them fully grown and I am very excited.
Jeremy I’m telling you I have some show stopper fish and wish I could share but I’ve found keeping fish by themself in large tanks has been the best way to show them off I just wish we had more stuff accessible to us as far as the fish to choose from. But with that being said how could you get the communities like you go to to come to places where I live? We have NOTHING and I’d really love to be part of a fish community!!
I found some at a local fish store. As soon as I seen them. They were around 15 usd. I grabbed 3. One didn't make it but the other are growing fast. I have them in a 350g with other viejas. You can check them out on my channel.
I've got an amazing looking Protomelas Ornatus. Wish I could enter it in a contest. He's not very big yeiand still an amazing fish. Those were pretty fish.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics so are you saying I should be getting individual books based on what kind of fish I have rather than just the type of water I'm dealing with
It just depends on what you like. There are generalist books and then the specialty books that deal with livebearers, African cichlids, cichlids from different lakes, different continents, etc.
I've never had them, however, I was talking with someone who had a group and the dominant males killed off the others. Based on the little I know I envision setting aside at least a 6ft tank for a pair? Again, I'm not the best person to ask though. : -)

I had some Adult Venustus in the past and they were Fantastic looking, one of my Favorites. The nicest Smallest Fish I’ve had were some BADIS BADIS.
All of those fish are stunning! Thanks for sharing.

My favourite cichlids is definitely the Nicaraguan cichlid, stunning fish, friendly, smart and loves to rip out the plants!

Yep - it goes by that name as well :-)
I have a pair.I have had them in the past and they are gorgeous fish.In person they are even prettier!Great video.

Wow! All stunning fish, the first one looked more like a marine fish like some sort of sea bream!
Wow what a stunner........... just gorgeous
Can't argue that. : -)
Oh, I totally stumbled upon these a month ago! It's on my list to add to the tank once I've upgraded!! It's indeed an amazingly beautiful fish!
They are totally worth it! :-)
Oh, definitely! If only you could see the picture I took of it... just.. wow! I just wish I took a picture of the tank as a whole. It was massive and contained like 15 of them!!! 😨
I just bought one of these fish in replacement of the pike I mentioned in a different comment. Seeing this, I’m excited about my decision 😁
I keep coming back to this video to stare at the stunning Maskaheros.
I have two right now, but not quite this size yet.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I'm jealous but also excited you got some! Are you going to do a video on them?
I just ordered two argenteus from Cichlids of the Americas. I absolutely can not wait!
They are going to be cool!
I can just imagine how shiny it would be! I had not seen one either.
SO awesome!
That was a legendary bowl show!!
I thought so too!

Aulonacara Lwanda is my all time favourite 😍
Wow that's a beautiful fish!

Beautiful vieja argentea! I would like to get myself some pretty soon. I have vieja synspilum, and I would like to get several different species of vieja and other central and south american cichlids.
I don't think I have ever seen a vieja I don't like. : -)
Prime Time Aquatics I completely agreee, they’re some amazing fish!

Wow! I want these too!
This is a first fish I've ever seen that rivals with a saltwater fish in terms of colors wow.🐠🐟🐡
Beautiful fish!!
Awesome fish...can see why people would flock to him.
He was like a movie star!

You would probably have to start a fish club in your area?
These guys are crazy colorful for tank size and no substrate!
That's what I kept thinking too. They would look even better in their regular setup.
Excited to see some show fish this weekend should be a good time!
One of each please!,👍✌️🤞😏
I have 2 Argentea in my 350. I love them!
That is too cool!
How do you get ahold of one? What kind of price point we talkin?
I found some at a local fish store. As soon as I seen them. They were around 15 usd. I grabbed 3. One didn't make it but the other are growing fast. I have them in a 350g with other viejas. You can check them out on my channel.
WOW!
That's what I said. : -)
Frontosas! Looking for a new home with room for at least a 240g. Been obsessed with em since I first seen one.
They are gentle giants!
what lighting are they using on those tanks?
It varies from tank to tank.
The 7 Zaire frontosa I have now. But in 5 years when they are grown.
How many gallons do you need for the last show piece fish???
BurnzAd6 around 125 and up
I would like information to be able to own agentea?
I've got an amazing looking Protomelas Ornatus. Wish I could enter it in a contest. He's not very big yeiand still an amazing fish. Those were pretty fish.
There's not one species of Vieja I don't like, that Argentea is a stunner though, I just wish I had the room to keep one!
Same with me - they are all awesome!
Any Idea where I can get one of these?
Maybe Aquabid?
That Flame tail 🥰🥰
MrFirstSeed I know!
Question I'm looking for the most awesomest freshwater fish book? do you have any suggestions.
It really depends on what the of fish you are in to? I've seen some cool cichlid books come through the clubs.

How do I get my hands on that purple and yellow peacock!?
Probably the Wet Spot online?
Are those big fishes all are freshwaters ?
They sure are!
In 1991 I had bought 5 Haitiensis at $50 each fry, a single male made it , he was a BEAUTY alot like these
Those are amazing fish!
Been long ago, I just within the last year got back into the hobby, up to 10 tanks doing smaller fish now days
Duuuude. I have 9 Paretroplus maculatus.
I've been trying to tell everyone that Madagascar cichlids are hidden gems.
I couldn't agree more! They are remarkable fish if you know how to handle their aggressive nature.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I have mine with 6 Ptychochromis grandidieri. Perfect balance imo.
Christmas is coming 🤞🤞🤞
Now you're thinking!
I have one of these beautiful..
I have a vieja Argentina there beautiful
Lucky viewer here
Female red terror, yellow jacket cichlid (parachromis freddi), super red texas, zeus carpintis
Beautiful but brutal fish. Ive had a few
That's what I have heard. : -)
What's the name of this fish?is this salt water fish?
👍
Can you do a video on starry night cichlids
I love them, but don't currently have them. Hopefully some day. : -)
Marble ferestratus. Not sure of spelling
They should stick a picture of a female to each species to help them color up, do I know if it would work, I have no idea, lol.
Brandon McKinney that’s hilarious!
I had that Comprecciceps! But I let him go because they need more care than most fish in a mixed African tank.
Aulonocara would be the one I would want
Auloncaras are common and can be purchased everywhere...but to get one that colors up like that is rare.
I had 4 big the one I have killed all the other ones
Right now I have two in a 125 gallon and they mostly stay at opposite ends of the tank.
argantea
I think I had a better looking Ngara peacock
I bet that was a great-looking fish!
these dont look tasty at all
Beautiful

Prime Time Aquatics thanks for your honest opinion, never seen that fish before... probably not in my area...i will research tho...thanks again!
