This is pretty much a copy of the award-winning Lionhead Studios game from 2005 called The Movies. That game actually allowed you to export the movies to your PC for viewing.

the vibe is kind of like those Two Point Hospital or University games. Very accessible and doesn't feel too much like "work". Other people pointed out The Movies; I welcome an updated version of that.
