what would you say is a good middle ground budget size? I know that budgets vary especially the amount you 'can' spend, but also know that there usually is a 'floor' that you realize comes with experience from running ads. Any insight into this?
Yes, great question! I would say $150/month is the best starting point cause it allows you to run continuously for $5/day. Running continuously is super valuable for the ads to optimize and attract the most listeners, fans and streams.

I usually get decent results with ads on instagram, but facebook (as usual) stinks to heaven. Is it really worth the time to target facebook audiences? nobody is using facebook anymore (because it sucks).
Great question! It all depends on where fans of your genre hang out. I get amazing results off of FB. But even if you're unsure, I'd still target Facebook cause the budget is automatically gonna shift to where it gets the most conversions at the lowest cost. If your fans are primarily on IG, the ad delivery is gonna adjust to that automatically. In my experience it's Bbtter to go broad and let the algorithm work on it than not giving it enough to play with.

Guess I'll try reincorporating facebook to the audience and see. Do you use "audience network" or target specific feeds yourself?

Really? I get great results on FB than IG. I think it’s IG for me but I guess it’s different for everyone
