  • Super Mario Sunshine, yet another way that Nintendo was able to shake up the Mario formula in an oddly satisfying way. This game was a unique addition to the series, and while polarized, was pretty fun. They tried giving a Mario game a plot, which hilariously, didn't work out at all. Having Mario framed, despite there clearly being two Marios, one clearly evil, was a plot premise so stupid even the writers forgot it existed about halfway through the game. But as someone who doesn't play a video game for how good a story it has, I don't really care. Some of the levels and missions in this game suck. The pachinko level, hunting for blue coins, parts of this game are poorly designed. But it's easy to overlook, given how much fun you'll have playing the majority of the game anyway. This game has promise, it's a neat, interesting addition that's definitely worth a try.
