  • Meet RoboSimian, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's official entry at the DARPA Robotics Challenge in December 2013. Also known as "Clyde," the robot is is four-footed, but can also stand on two feet. It has four general-purpose limbs and hands capable of both mobility and manipulation. It came in 5th place out of 16 entries. See RoboSimian in action at the disaster-response competition. Challenges includes turning a valve, traversing uneven terrain, clearing debris, opening and passing through doorways.

Not only can this robot help humanity and advance technology, it can lay down some intense dance moves in the meantime.

Never. These robots are in a challenge for the call of help in the Fukushima disaster. Darpa has it's own contracts and this is a contest.

aserta Do you even know what "DARPA" stands for? Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. If the IAEA wanted to develop robots they'd do it themselves. Then Fukushima has nothing to do with this, as the Japanese are more than capable of developing robots for nuclear accidents. They're doing it now.

Im sure itll be great for hazmat situations where no human should go there. Like nuclear fallout. Those "fingers are thick" be great if it can cut some wires and defuse a bomb or something.
It would be unwise to make a super human like robot. It needs to be tame and easily stoppable in case it falls into other hands.
Our ex-governator should make a cameo at DARPA and bring that awesome robotic hand

Just a thought. Maybe it'll be much cheaper to grow up and educate real spider or bug or I don't know who else. Ah? Gigantic leech maybe or cockroach?... Although if we do the next step well be to run away of it as fast as possible. Well at least it'll give some boost to our intention to leave Earth... Just a thought.
We copy Nature, but it's creatures, even some minor and insignificant, still far far ahead of those we've made so far. Maybe to use them somehow...

This is the perfect time for you all to get saved from permanent suffering in hell.
Everybody in the world has sinned, and the consequence of sin is hell, however Jesus will protect all those who believe in him alone from hell.
Jesus Christ is the sinless, uncorrupted, son of God (Both God and a human being) who was slain on the cross for our sins, was placed in a tomb, and came back to life from the dead.
When you believe in Jesus Christ alone as savior, he will distribute eternal life, a part in heaven, and forgiveness of sins to you.
