The difficult changes for me currently are going from barre chords to lets say a 3 note G then getting back into that barre shape.
Any advice?
Absolutely mate. Take the same advice here and adjust it to the chords you need to work on, the tips in this video will work for any chord change as the principles and goal (being able to change faster) are the same.

Why just move your 2cd and 3rd fingers to E and A and use you pinky on high E to get from C to G?! Just lift your forefinger off.
