Glad they went with the ps2 version for the ps5, looks so much better with the proper lighting instead of the overly saturated colors in the HD collection.
@@matthewsimmons9277 they don’t have a working PS3 emulator, so if so they either have to have one made, or natively port it. I honestly see a remaster being the better option.

Why, dammit, does Sony do this thing where they make you subscribe or pay for a game you already own digitally on PS3? And whats worse is they have set a precedent recently with Dino Crisis and Resident Evil Director's Cut which is if you do own it digitally on ps3 you should own it on ps5. Yet I own the whole Sly Cooper quadrilogy digitally on ps3 and have no option to download the trilogy on ps5. I'm stuck in a horrible limbo where I'm waiting for Sony's backward compatibility to catch up with itself or I end up paying for these games twice. Say what you will about Xbox but this wouldn't still be an issue. PS5 would have launched playing Sly and Dino Crisis natively if the leadership of both companies were switched. Like I can literally pull up my transaction history on the ps5 store proving I own the games.
I really get you frustration since I also own the trilogy on ps3 and im not defending sony but its not the same. Dino crisis and resident evil are ported to ps4/5 from ps3, while in the sly trilogy case they put the ps2 games on an emulator. the ps2 and the ps3 versions are almost two different games since the ps3 version is an hd remaster
@@dragonz9538 Honestly these are kind of irrelevant details (emulated ps2 vs touched up) when all games in question were purchased on PS3. And to your argument the Resident Evil Director's Cut sold on PS5 is a different version than the one sold on PS3. The PS5 version has upgraded visuals, built-in analog support, the classic music, save states and rewind functionality. Affectively a different game than the PS3 version and yet I got it for free all the same. So does it really matter if the game is "different" in any way? I'm not asking for an incentive to buy the game again. Its the same game. You gave me the ability to play a game I already bought for free. Just be consistent about it is all I want. You think an average user cares about emulation versus an official ps5 version? No. That game over there I paid for has the same name as this one so let me have this one. Thats all.
@@SavagePatch115 I think its weird how we make these complicated excuses for these companies. "Its emulated" or "its a ps2 game sold on ps3". Some of the people at Sony are counting on people like you I'm sure. When you defend them with irrelevant semantics instead of asking why they want to sell a game twice is how we get a company like Nintendo where its almost universally accepted that you'll have to rebuy every game you want with every new console generation. I don't accept that. I don't care that the game is "technically different" because so is the version of RE Director's Cut I just got for free. I mean its vastly different than the ps3 version. Man, the lighting for the PS3 version... ain't great. PS5 has it beat in that regard.
PS5 is running this on an emulator
The PS3 version doesn’t look like that. There’s something wrong with how it was captured or something
It looks really good on ps5. The frame rate and audio stutters on the ps4 version along with some visual issues.
Why is your PS3 gameplay so dark? It is not supposed to look like that
Now the question is will sly 4 come to ps5 as a ps3 classic?

@@ajbennett5427 haven’t tried them on PS4 yet, but I heard the latest update to Sly 1 on PS4 did wonders!
PS3 version is the only one with widescreen it seems.
Yeah Sucker Punch didn't do any widescreen settings for any of the games, unlike Naughty Dog with Jak
On the ps4 it runs just as good
why'd they keep stretching ps2 games to 7:5 aspect ratio
It's so ugly lol
Finnish people are forced to use ps4 version because ps5 version doesn't have Finnish dub😩

I cant find Sly 2 on the psn...
Type in on search tab and go down a little to ps plus section and it's there. Just gotta look for it
