The whole album is amazing, but this song left me speechless. I've been listening since Prophets and every album has been absolutely fantastic. Without a doubt my favorite band.
Agree! Check out Jesse Doreen and Alex Re soundclouds! They're the guitarists of Counterparts(ex?) and they have some pretty sweet stuff!

That little bend at 0:19 made me screech like a chimp the first time I heard it. This song’s full of so many good flairs and bells and whistles.
Amazing how this song is a response to YANYA with both the reference to the garden and the arrow in the chest.

Their sound is similar to the old Shai Hulud albums they were one of the first groups to sound like this.

This sounds great, but the dirty little 2006's metalcore lover in me kept waiting for the clean vocal part that hopefully didn't sound like a gay boy band. Still good though....I just personally tune out a bit if the singer doesn't bust out some melodic cleans.
Ishmael Maphingers maybe you should listen to the other instruments if you’re tuning out to the screams. The two guitar players writing style gives this band the X factor
@@transient442 There are too many bands that know how to play good music,with the vocal styles I like, to bother trying to suffer through non stop screaming.
I like that they rarely sing, it’s so overdone. Like literally every single other band has to sing in their choruses, it got old to me after Attack Attack lol
Street Pilot they don’t need it honestly. The melodic guitars create the hooks, the voice just adds emotion and Brandon does it best through screaming. if they did cleans it would just throw everything off. They would lose that contrast between the hardcore style vocals and the melodic riff oriented guitars which makes counterparts great. And trust me I’m typically the one who likes the bands that apparently “sold out” by adding cleans but with counterparts it just doesn’t make sense for them to do it
I know there’s cleans on the new album which I don’t mind because it’s still backed by Brandon’s screams and the melodies they choose aren’t overpowering anything
