Great review Beth. I first saw the Canyon at SpyderQuest in Lake George NY in September. Although not for me, I am certain CanAm will be successful with this model which is truly different than the Ryker, F3 and RT models. Cheers Beth!
Please see if its feasible to also cover the XT and base models. Specifically with a clear view of the larger boxes on top. Also if there is any word on when we can see these in showrooms. This is perhaps the most in-depth review so far this year- on the canyons.
Nice video, Beth. Looks like Can-Am is trying to bring a 3 wheeler into the 2 wheel ADV market. Think this will be a great model for we taller riders. The first thing that hit me was it shares the big, boxy look of BMW's GS Adventure which came out recently. Way to go Can Am! Ned in SC
That is an amazing offering. Options are a good thing. I'm no longer interested in "off-roading," but that is a solid optional platform. If the highway ride/comfort is still very comfortable, I would really consider that over the others including the RT, but that is being said without riding them. The possibilities of upgrading / mods just went off the chain. Good job Can-Am... Coach Boooooooob. To help with normal road / touring, a driver backrest and forward foot pegs would be very nice, and not take away from the off pavement adventures, imo.
I would upgrade to the canyon because the clearance and intelligent suspension gets us over bumps. Borrow from the bank because its big, brilliant and is fast like a pro dirt bike rider. I could see a young person sneaking through traffic and riding down dirt roads and saving the day and then celebrating on Saturday then wash up for Sunday morning singing because trikes can do it all.
Nice video Barefoot Beth! I think this may be the only comprehensive video on the Canyon on YT. The only one I have seen anyway. Thank you for giving us the low down.
Great review, Beth, and fantastic camera work, Coach Bob 3! I've been waiting for somebody to do a review on this thing. I love the height I love the storage but I wonder with the extra weight and height on something like that how much it's going to affect the fuel mileage. I will probably never be able to afford it but I certainly like the idea of it. Good on Can-Am for finally putting a slot in for the key. For the 4 years I had my rocker I was always terrified that I would lose it LOL
Thoughts on the Canyon. First the last thing I want on an adventure machine is more electronics and sensors and crap. The bags are good, they look like what was on the F3 police models. ground clearance could be a bit better. Skid plate is a plus. The passenger seat does not look comfortable. They should of fully enclosed the belt. Yes, it can be done. Yamaha did it in the 80s with a fully enclosed oil bath chain drive on the XV920J. If I ever get my hands on a dead F3 Ill build it up. 3" lift, full skid plate. semi enclosed belt (already got that one figured), a tune for the computer that would allow slightly larger all-terrain tires (think BF Goodrich TA radials), lastly tow hitch with an off-road type coupler. Little trailer has 8" of ground clearance, the Spyder needs to match it.
How will you tackle semi deep to deep ruts left by 4wheel vehicles on trails? Front in rut and make it tip forward causing the under pan to scrape? Or go abit to the side making rear in rut and tilt backwards but also might cause damage to the sides of the swing arm and possibly the belt drive Here something thats always bugs me and prevents me from getting one
Love and own F3L's ... I do like the off-road "idea" but I think it doesn't offer much more than aesthetics and some clearance compared to standard F3L. I take the F3L camping all the time on nasty fire roads but would not truly go off-roading unless there was all wheel drive.
Great review. I like the key, mirrors, go pro attachments and shocks. I would like to have those items transferred over to the RT. I think if you live in area with lots of dirt roads this would be the machine to have. I diffently would not take it on a jeep trail - if you got stuck you would never get it out. I thought it funny to see you in bare feet. I hope you don't ride like that! ;)
It would be nice if it had the same level of ground clearance, mud-crawling ability and river-forging ability as an ATV. Otherwise, it's just a bigger ryker with a different engine and transmission. If we want adventure capabilities that cover both on-road and off-road, it is better to choose a multi-purpose machine, or if we want a trike or quad specialized for off-road adventures, it is better to choose an ATV.
Not really. Once you do that you lose the comfortable ride … it’s NOT an off road machine. It’s a machine that is CAPABLE of going on gravel/unpaved roads.
@@eranmaron909 If we(or they) want a comfortable ride, there are some great machines called the Spyder series. Let's not forget that it was BRP that first mentioned off-road and adventure. It is worth noting that those who have experience with existing adventure machines or who want to get started with adventure machines are buying Can-Am Ryker Rally with high expectations, but then quickly putting it up for sale as a used car and repurchasing a multi-purpose machine.

I just don't understand it.. It's just a spyder with a different body.. It's not going "offroad". the ryker and spyder can do everything this thing can do.. and with that price tag.. good luck. I wish they put more effort into fixing the problems with the current lineup.
The number one turn off about the can am line up is the up-cost , they want thousands of dollars just to make it comfortable ,and complete ! I don’t like that attitude with any company . This idea that I need to spend an extra $ 10,000 + $ just to be safe !!! Not counting the cost of extended warranty insurance . Which is unbelievable !!! Nice looking product 👍 but show it to me when it’s crossed 500,000 miles and only cost the buyers and not buyer say $ 15,000 out of pocket . Show it to me then .
I hear what you are saying. The aftermarket accessories are so unique to every rider. Spyder owners don’t accessorize the way Ryker owners do etc. It’s not “necessary” to add anything to the can ams, but people love making their ride unique. Just personal choice.
I looked at the website when they first announced it, but its too expensive and I honestly don't like the looks. It looks boxy almost a lego look to it. I wish they designed it a little noces in the front to me. Its kind of nice as far as being built stronger but I don't like the way it looks at all. I wouldn't buy it. If someone sold it to me at 1/3 the price the first thing I would do is find a body shop and have them rebuild the body so it has a nice less boxy look to it. But as it, I don't like it.
Why should I go off-road with a 3-wheeler. That's the worst idea you can have. They should have developed the Spyder further, with more power and a modernized design. That thing is just ugly.
Beth and Coach Bob…my two can am favs! Keep bringing us the great content! Appreciate you guys. 👍
Thanks for the support! ❤️❤️
Every time I watch a video of yours, I try my best to figure out why you don't have 100k+ subscribers!! You bring so much information to all of us. ❤
WOW! Thank you so much for the love!!!💕
Beth and Bob, you both do a great job at explaining items that you review!!!
Thank you for the kind words!
I love that the key has a slot for a keychain. I didn’t see that mentioned anywhere else, so thanks!

The SUV of trikes.
Interesting 🤔

Coach Bob is always a great help! Thanks for watching!
Great video Beth .. but srry not thinking a lot of the Canyon :) Looks like Rey dragged it out of the junkyard on Jakku :P
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video even if you don't love the look of the Canyon.
Great review Beth 💯💯💯
I’m glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Canyon looks nice. Wonder if they plan to sell an emergency belt for them. Good to see CB3 with you! Great vid! Be well!

I would definitely like to do a BDR on one.

Yeah, those roads sound rough! I’m with you on the all-wheel drive, but that Canyon is a great looker!
I live in the country and drive on gravel roads and want a can-am spyder, but I'm sure which one to get
The Canyon may be a good choice for you!!
@RykerRydes I like the fact that the Canyon has a heated seat and handgrips
Coach Bob lol is on camera. and his Snoopy shirt
Too cute!
I see you Coach Bob!!!
Coach Bob!
Oh man, is it that time for a trade in

I'm glad you enjoyed the review! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ride barefoot!! AGATT!!
Yeah a hole in the key!
I, know!!! Right!! ❤️🔑
Are they automatics like the rykers or gears like the spider
same engine, transmission and everything like a Spyder
6 speed semiautomatic, like the Spyders
Coach Bob hahaha 👍
It’s a three wheeled Yamaha super tenere, but costs twice as much, and not quite as reliable, but not too bad.
It is definitely a different style, and not for everyone.
Great review. I think Can Am hit a home run with this attractive entry into adventure touring.
Thanks, I agree!
What's it sound like?
I can’t believe I didn’t start it!!! Ugh!! My guess, is it sounds the same as any Spyder?

I’m all about safety! AGATT!!
Great review Beth. I can’t wait to see one at a dealer. I doubt i will be switching from my RT.
I think you’ll like it! I’m so curious how it feels on the highway!
nice review, but no way anyone is taking this off-road - camping maybe - at most, 3 people will buy this can am -
Glad that I will buy a fully loaded Can-Am Canyon Redrock anyway.
I’m sure there will be some people that will enjoy using it off road, but yeah not everyone.
I never realized how big that machine is until you sat on it. The web site pics are deceiving. Nice, but out of my price range.
And I am glad that I will buy a Can-Am Canyon Redrock anyway.
It is a big machine. I hope you get to try one out someday!

You're right, you don't understand what the Canyon is.
@@iluvbiggirlz420 i said exactly what it was lol. it's an F3 spyder frame with a body kit.
It’s for light off-roading….like ADV bikes. It’s for adventure touring. It’s for people who travel the continents.
@@americandude3825 so how is that any different than what the current spyders and rykers can do?

Taking this off-road is a joke. The way the fenders are a rock or stick will get wedged in and break that crap off
Too bad
No android play
just lazy of them to do a belt instead of a shaft... and then say its okay for offroad... 🙄
I get what you’re saying, it’s just a different type of adventure, not hardcore off-roading.
They blew it, shoulda named it the Grand Canyon.
That’s awesome!!!
i find it funny that you're barefoot
I live in Florida, too hot for shoes (unless I’m riding)

Overpriced crap just like all cam-am
