Disney should hire people who can sing, dance, and act, like Laura Osnes, for their remakes instead of famous stars who don't have a strong singing background *coughEmmaWatsoncough*
I still think they could have at LEAST gone with someone like Emmy Rossum for Belle. At least she can sing, and she looked more like Belle than Emma did.
whenever laura osnes opens her mouth to sing, chills roll down my spine and i am overwhelmed with peace. she is the epitome of a true performer. not only is she an incredible singer, but her facial expressions are enticing. the pauses she takes to breathe draw the listener in. she is an absolute musical genius.
@@laurelwelch6295 Disney is not putting out an official answer for this yet. But here is my theory why. I think it's because they are brainstorming on how to make it a theatrical production right now. I believe this will be a very similar journey to Aladdin and how it took so long to get to Broadway. It took years to make it into a professional musical as they had to figure out how to create special effects that were safe and financially practical for eight shows a week all year round. Not to mention expanding the script and score that run two hours long while the film is relatively shorter. I gather that Tangled is in a similar situation. But I absolutely agree with you. Laura would be a sublime Rapunzel! :)
@@Silver54ful I completely agree! I think they will need to mimic what they've done with the other Broadway adaptations by adding more songs and character development in order to make it a viable production. From what I've seen, they've done several iterations with their Cruises and internationally already. I agree with your assumption that they are likely testing it out and will announce more once they are confident that it can be a financial success. They worked on the Hunchback musical in Europe and it had a production at Papermill Playhouse, but the rumour seems to be that Disney didn't think it would play well to child audiences (although it still used the music from the Disney movie) since it stuck more closely to Hugo's original. My guess is that they slowed development when Frozen became such a success that they wanted to bring that to Broadway first and continue working on Tangled until it's deemed "ready".
Love your work and Laura Osnes’ so much !! Wish you would come to play in Paris :) in the meantime I’ll keep looking at your next incredible performances ! Hopefully soon in NYC to see them in person !!
RMF4tez Part of your world, God help the outcast, Reflection, Just around the riverbend, Can you feel the love tonight, For the first time in forever, When will my life begin, Once upon a dream, A dream is a wish your heart makes, Someday (The hunchback of the Notre Dame), Part of your world, When will my life begin (Reprise) Apologies if I missed one

Susan's little laugh of pride/joy at Laura singing "A Change in Me" 😱💖Omg my heart!!
This medley is FIRE Ben!! You really are the king of medleys. And Laura is a queen. She should voice a Disney princess 😍
The wandering’ completely free May have been my favorite part. These medleys never disappoint
Ben. I know I often say you are the king of Medleys. But that ending is just PERFECTION

I love that they included Thumbelina in this! Such an underrated musical score. Wonderful job, Laura!
2 questions for Disney: When is the Tangled musical coming to Broadway (it was in Italy a few years ago)? Can you please hire Laura as Rapunzel?
