so many people said "this is where the show gets good" but they don't realize it only hits this hard because of the subtle yet masterful buildup the show had for the whole first 12 episodes. But as always, you guys get it.

Next one is probably my favorite episode of the series, and it's got one of the best lead-ins to the op of any episode of any series. Gives me chills every time the op starts.
This one episode made me stay awake for an entire night to finish the show. I was starting to get bored because of how slow it started but this ending just blew me out the water.
The lightsaber encounter sounded so much like something I'd do that I am feeling embarrassed for the both of us! And, yes, I haven't watched anything of the Star Wars universe. I think I remember watching a little bit of the movie where Jar Jar Binks shows up, I believe, for the first time.
The amazing performance of Miyano Mamoru (Okabe) always gets me in those intense moments, one of my favorite voice actor. So glad that they are watching the show in Japanese.

You're excited and anxious about what the show's given you. But after this one? Emptiness. Ugh, it's beautiful.

steins;gate is what, the second/third title in the kagaku adventure series of games? at the time of the first releases there was a huge horde of fans in japan, it was massive. over the years i had my fair share of visualnovels, i know the language, so what the heck, i decided to import a copy of s;g, as it fell right in my tastes, and the graphic was extremely gorgeous. since the beginning there is this breathetaking sense of impending danger and "mamo" and asami-chan deliver all the emotions so fondly, together with the whole cast. and when this time comes, it's even more gruesome in the vn, i was in shambles. then the anime came out, and this damn episode comes out, i knew exactly what would happen, and yet.. i felt the same emotions all over again. and it still happens to this very day! unlike other people i don't think the anime starts now, it has been there boiling and developing the whole time. but now it's the moment to really put the notebook skills to a test, uncover mysteries and still be surprised on whatever will happen, enjoy!

man, watching it in sub really showcases how good the dub is, or maybe the translation is really awkward. The best part of steins;gate is the character interactions and the sub doesn't hit the same at all. Also, who's idea was it to make Daru sound like Winney Pooh?? xdd

tbh I was hooked the moment all those people disappeared and the whole banana thing, I guess most people just want 24/7 action
reminds me of when people discredit AoT's early episodes and only praise the moments in the show with the big reveals. Buildup matters people :(
