Thank you so much for all your videos and being so generous with your knowledge! :)
You are so welcome I love making these tutorials! Glad you enjoy them.
Sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Raylan Alexander Instablaster :)
Love these videos! Thank you for making them! How many vases do you usually get out of the crack filler can?
I would say the larger mason jars you would be able to fill around 6 of those. When I am using smaller vases/containers I can fill in a decent amount of different containers with one can of foam spray
Your videos are amazing and very informative!! How do you know how many flowers to buy?
We actually just wrote up a blog post about wedding flowers in particular. Hope this helps! ohyourelovely.com/blogs/oh-youre-lovely/using-sola-wood-flowers-for-a-wedding-a-series
So they say to take your flowers out of their packaging right away. Where do you store them before and after? Can you use those see through plastic shoe boxes after they’ve fully dried?
Moisture is the biggest concern with the flowers because they are wood. If you want to store them in containers you will want to keep a lid off or have some sort of ventilation holes in the boxes so there is airflow happening and before you put dyed flowers away make sure they are fully dry.
What is the best color and brand of craft paint to get for a navy and a burgundy color?? 😁
I dont have a particular favorite to recommend but I do suggest whatever color you pick add a little black to the paint and it will help darken it up just a bit! 😍
Do you stem eucalyptus if you're using it in a bouquet? I have gumdrop and dark green eucalyptus (from OYL of course). :)
I do sometimes it really depends on the arrangement. I do more often than not at least clip apart my full piece of greenery. I hope that helps!
@@OhYoureLovelyIt does. Most of it will be used for my daughter's wedding bouquets, centerpieces. Do you stem it after you clip it?
How do I dye a flower that comes with a brown core? Do I dye it the same or does the brown discolor? Thank you.
You can dye it like normal what will happen is the dye will not take or will very lightly change the color where the bark remains on the flower. The bark isnt as porous so it wont take the dye the same making a two-tone effect. Here is an older fb live video showing dyeing only flowers with bark accents: facebook.com/Ohyourelovelyofficial/videos/484826451921650/
That’s perfect! Thank you so much!
What does the glycerin accomplish?
Makes the flower softer.
It can help soften the flowers a bit if you are dyeing them
Do you sell flowers that are already stemmed and dyed?
We do occasionally carry dyed assortments and have a monthly subscription box of dyed flowers (all on www.ohyourelovely.com) . We do not, however, offer to stem. Here is a quick video on how to do it: ua-cam.com/video/iSyuU0zsPyo/v-deo.html
What is the purpose of the glycerine?
The glycerin can help soften up the dyed flowers a bit
FYI - RE: Crack Filler - you can reuse the can IF - and only IF - you immediately clean out the nozzle with acetone. It dissolves the substance and leaves the tube clean for another use. Just don't do it in the sink!! Ask me how I know ...
I learned something new! Thank you so much for sharing that tidbit and I will keep it away from the sink! lol
I have a hard time watching because I am a detailed person and your hand are rarely in the frame when you are putting the flowers together. I tried to watch one before this one and it was the same thing. I am think the art is amazing but I need to see all that you are doing not just the tail end :/
