if your need is limited you prefer vertical scalling
And if your need increase time to time you prefer horizontal scaling.
But i think due to evolution in cloud , every one can scale up and scale down , which is the property of cloud

if u have big website with millions of traffic then u need horizon scaling for spread the risk
but if u have small bussines then u need vertical scaling
As a business student I prefer Horizon and vertical both because if one area has more trafic then these area need more powerfull computer
however if there are less trafic they need less powerful server

for long term horizontal scaling is good. and for short term vertical scaling is good. both are good it depends on the requirement.

4:35 vertical scaling for those who have less capital ,server have ability to upgrade , less area and horizontal for those who have large amount of area, large amount of capital, server at max limit of upgrade ...
So as we are having many factors to consider while making this decision but as of the primary thing is lack of space so "VERTICAL SCALING" IS THE BEST OPTION.

It depends
BUT I think horizontal scaling is better because there is less probability of failure and no limit but you need to do load balancing in horizontal scaling.

If network traffic is limited and you know it going to remain some what in the range, vertical scaling is preferable.
Else if traffic is increasing exponentially the horizontal scaling is nice to have.

Horizontal scaling is much better as it has no limit if we need to deal with large load that can not be handled by Vertical Scaling or we can say that by improving existing server specifications
But when we don't need to deal with big load so, we can use horizontal scaling

It's depends on situation if we required redendency or load balancing then horizontal scaling but if we required only some slowly ness in server then go for the vertical scaling

i think vertical scaling is more beneficial since it involves upgradation of existing system only.
whereas in Horizontal scaling there is cost overhead of buying and setting up new systems to the current system.
it's on the providers need and their current status

Well in my point of view, Horizontal scaling or Vertical scaling whichever option do we go to it depends upon the situation. Still I'll say that Vertical Scaling should be used until Horizontal scaling is required..

if you are capable, then you will not overthink to scale up horizontally or not. You will give it the first shot.
But, if you are not capable, then you will at first go for vertical scaling and then think at least twice (if still scaling problem arises) to whether go for horizontal scaling.
But, according to me, as mac requires more investment, but it's a quality product, the same way horizontal scaling is best, as it can be practiced any number of times with the good number of investments !!

I think so Vertical Scaling is better than Horizontal Scaling because in case of any one server failure other computers were available to manage those traffic, so website down chances are very low due to technical issues. 🙂🙂🙂
