Hey Becca, the Briogeo Superfoods Avocado and Kiwi Mega Moisture hair mask is one of the best ones that I have ever used. I naturally have very fine hair that gets damaged very easily. This has been a godsend. It makes my hair feel full and healthy. It says you only leave it on for 10 minutes but I’ve left it on for an hour or leave it in overnight. Please never use any product down there, even a sensitive soap. You could damage the balance of your flore and having some problems later like cystitis or others
Olaplex should never just be used as a hair mask. Even the label clearly specifies that it’s not a hair mask!
ONLY use it if you’ve bleached your hair, and the hair’s protein bonds are damaged as a result of the bleach. Always wash your hair with a cleansing shampoo and no conditioner before applying olaplex, because olaplex is a professional chemical treatment and can react to conditioners, oils and any other products that remained in your hair since the last wash. Leave it on for no longer than 30 minutes AT MOST, and then make sure to wash ALL OF IT OUT of your hair so there’s none left on your hair.THEN use your usual conditioner and hair routine. Stop using it after about 8 or so weeks, because overusing it can make your newly healthy hair brittle again
This used to be a salon exclusive product for a reason, it’s not meant to be used just however one wants to. There’s a very specific way to use it. The women in social media who’ve been abusing olaplex and promoting others to use it completely wrongly are the reason olaplex is caught up in that lawsuit right now.
