This is an excellent talk! Freedom is necessary and has always been necessary from the very beginning of our existence that started way before the world began. Choice and Accountability is a law in the Universe. We must choose and we must be accountable for our choices. The choice to do good brings freedom. Choose good and choose to stand up for that which is good according to God's laws.
Thanks for this inspired talk that fits with the Come Follow Me lessons studied in many of our homes around the world. We are blessed at this time with more truths in the things that matter than ever before. I am especially grateful for being born in a time and place of great freedom to choose and do as I please.
We are free to choose because we are given a choice of right or wrong. A society that is forced, a people that is forced, brings bondage to the individual of that dark force and stumps their growth in eternal progression. When we are given freedom to chose right, we have the blessings attached to that which were predicated at the foundations of the world. When we chose wrong, we have the consequences for that which those works are associated with. Choosing the right always assigns heaven's blessings which are not always manifested in worldly blessings. When we sit on the fence and not make a choice because we are spiritually lazy, the Lord will spue us out of his mouth. The holy ghost will always guide us to the truth, whether it is supported by popular belief or not, we cannot deny the spirit when it helps us choose the right.

In time, your Knowing will become so strong that the burden of decision making will fall away from you. Without choices, the mind is free and can rest and enjoy, unafraid of what it must choose between. Ivan even Judas knew who Christ was but still he had a choice. Lucifer had a perfect knowledge yet he too had a choice. I’m afraid Summers words could lead to a false sense of spiritual security.

You're free to make the choice but not free to choose the consequences. Father doesn't send you to spirit prison your own sins pull you there because of the heavenly laws of justice which Father does not interfere with but follows. That pulling is what is referred to as the chains of hell and Satan will carefully pull you there through your willingness to not to choose the right.
Oksana Knighton - By doing “anything human,” I’m assuming you’re talking about giving into natural desires. ie, eating a bucket of ice cream than eating healthy. Sitting on a couch than exercising. Partying instead of studying. Sure, we are all free to choose to do those things. But what about the next choice? And the one after that? Which will give you “More Freedom” in the future? Does an obese person with a terrible heart have more freedom than someone who chose to live more healthy? Or the high school dropout vs a well-educated person? Who ultimately has more freedom and who is being punished?

Free agency is a gift to individuals..but the consequences of our choices is not free.. it is absolutely the reward of our choices
