So Djokovic did it playing one match more and on one surface more, so it is greater accomplishment, just by those facts, not going into comparing level of competition and tennis back then and today... But the truth is - Rod Laver was an inspiration for the generations to come, holding all of the records in his time, and long after, same as Novak will be, and is for the future generations from now 🥰

Novak won all Masters tournaments at least twice, the other two greatest players have failed to take at least two of those. Novak is the only one who won 4 GS 🏆 in a row, but he also managed in two more seasons to have 3 GS 🏆 . The others never had 3 GS 🏆 in a row.
Personally I think the most difficult record not the GS or even the weeks of no.1... I know number of weeks in no.1 probably will never be broken but I really think the one record the future generation can't even get closer probably was reaching 13 finals of all 14 big tournaments in one season and the only reason Novak was one short of all 14 it's because he did not participate in Madrid that year!! I think people neglect to recognise this record because people's focus mainly on GS, which is more important and prestigious, but somehow I believe this just as tough, regardless win or not, make it to the final consistently in allbig tournaments during the same season is so freaking hard to achieved and honestly don't think this will happen again!!!
