Very interesting & was intrigued by Mario's story. My father who served in WW 2 with the 463 bomb squard ( b17) stationed in Foggia, Italy was blessed to have met Padre Pio at the Rotundo or possibly near by with some of his fellow crewmen. He showed me pictures of the encounters with Padre Pio & told me that he shared a meal & was blessed during the visit. To this day I hold this story in my heart ❤️ & have to say I wish my father was still on this earth so I could hear more in depth stories about his encounter. Another amazing piece of Padre Pio's history was he was called the flying monk which headed off the b17's from bombing the San Giovanni Fotondo. I was skeptical after reading that but again ,miracles do happen. On another note, there was a man who tended the St.Anselm's parking lot in Bay Ridge Brooklyn who had a glove from Padre Pio & the glove was a relic in which was shown & shared with many communities, I'm wondering if this man was Mario in the video. In any event an interesting story which brings back find memories.
One of my favorite saints he answered 9 day novena for me a miracle I love him I would have been scared to go to him 4 confession but what a gift he possessed I always ask him to visit me in the hospital I heard he does that sometimes 💛💯
I don't think I would be scared because I know he wouldn't even let me get my foot in the door or behind the curtain before I would hear "Get out! What, are you crazy!"😏😁

I recently dreamed of Padre Pio and I was on my knees kissing his hands but the intensity of his black eyes were what I remembered most, I didn't really know that fact until viewing this video 2 days after my dream. Viva Padre Pio!

I went to St Padre Pio's cannonisation in Rome in 2002. A few years later I stopped going to mass for about 2 years, I had given up and was hopelessly submerged in sin. Then one day I was driving by a Catholic Church and got this irresistible urge to go inside. When I walked in I noticed confessions were on. I decided to join the queue. When I was waiting I noticed a framed photograph above the confessional box, it was Padre Pio. So I went to confession. When I came out I sat in the church just thinking. Then the priest came out of the confessional box and went up onto the altar. I then realised there was going to be a mass. I decided to stay. Then the priest went to the micophone and what he said completely floored me. He said "Welcome to the Holy sacrifice of the mass on this the feast day of St. Padre Pio".
Breathtaking! I just want also to share this---once i was walking, i found a little prayer booklet with very small, what seems to be, second degree( could be first degree too) relic from his habit. St. Padre Pio is one of my favourite saints and to have found that very small booklet is something special. Pray for me father in my discernment!! God bless you !!

I'm always reluctant on stories about Padre Pio. He was too. The fact of the matter is he was a man known to spend 18 hours in the confessional in hot as you know what Southern Italy.
He is an elderly man. He may have a speech impediment. It is not polite to blurt out these things. This is a special time for this man. God says do not complain in His word. If you wrote the creator in his personal email you might ask him in future videos to get a better mic, but not comment on an elderly man's speech pattern. It may have taken him all his energy just to get there. We don't know.

I don't think that's necessary as I'm sure Saint Pio would inform us that .. Oh so confessing to Jesus in the confessional is not good enough! ... That's how Padre Pio would gently rebuke us I think, but to be honest I do tell him my efforts to eradicate certain sins and transgressions are not always successful but that I am trying Padre so please bear with me and with your intercession I shall try harder. So by talking to this wonderful Saint on a regular basis, not expecting answers but just offloading you're fears, concerns and worries is as natural as breathing air.
Well, by his own admission that very fact was instrumental in his life to bring him closer to God by praying more, attending daily mass and the sacraments, regular confession, Padre Pio knew he was a good man but needed that act of humility to make him a greater man of faith, as an example to others.
