Weekend VLOG #21 Join me OGDuffy on my weekend VLOG where I undertake a trip to Aldi for a strange reason..... Along with the usual shenanigans and beers!
In this weeks VLOG I partake in my usual beers along with visits to CEX a Lidl supermarket and plenty of Retro Gaming along with the usual beers!
I also play some great games from many retro systems including classic Arcade Games, PS3 and more modern games too !
So if retro game collecting is your thing and you enjoying classic retro arcade and retro console games then this is the video for you.

Immediately, whilst you were in 'Aldi,' maybe if you don't already own one, buy and use an air fryer! The item, was immediately to the right of the item you examined in the 'Aldi footage.' in the video footage. Wow loving that ZX Spectrum book. Liking the Kevin Carrot idea, kind of buy, then redonate to store, since it's a worthy cause.
Got an air fryer matey, gets plenty of use, especially with the great products from Iceland 😉🍺
Quite enjoy visiting Aldis and Lidl, always some great items in there !

Great to see you play some old skool shooters. One of my favourite old arcade shooters was Terra Cresta, I’m sure you’ll remember it.
Another I loved, although not a SHMUP, was traverse USA.

Had a go at Nemesis myself, i'm not really a shoot em up lass, it's a fun game! loving the music as well.

love playing gorf on my atari 2600 still to this day, 👌, went to the cinema yesterday with my old man to watch napoleon in the vue was a cracking film 👍

it was good mate just 2hrs 30mins long..have you purchased the new atari 2600+ off amazon yet, it let's you play all your old atari games on it, but there in HD with the hdmi lead, its 99.99 it's a bit like the mini console I.e. megadrive,snes etc..👌👌, its a perfect present for Mrs og to get you for Xmas mate
Been playing my PS3 most of the afternoon. Sega Rally.
Daytona.
Played a few old
Classics including Uncharted-Drakes Fortune and Motor Storm, in 3D no less 👍
Not powered it on for almost a year and was nice to see a software upgrade download.
On the book subject try looking at Fusion Retro.
They do some quality print work.

Mario wonder is a brilliant game. Reminds me of the Nintendo DS Suoer Mario. That's very true its always surprising with the new Mario features. I manged to getnit for Xmas 🙂 I just have to play the waiting game now 😅

Did you not realise that the squares on the book cover are alphabetical so the third would be C for Chuckie Egg, 5th E for Exolon, F for Finders Keepers right up until Z for Zub.

Great episode, love watching you talk about Megadeth at the end and those album wall hangings are superb, love the somewhere in time eddie by your arcade cabinet, if you're ever bored, i feature a lot of Iron Maiden content on my channel, i have a whole cabinet dedicated to them, i'm gonna be doing a series on my maiden vinyl collection soon as well, i've got sbout 50 albums on vinyl, countless singles and 70+ cd's just on maiden alone. 🤘. Exellent way to start my wednesday morning, with a cup Coffee and this vlog ☕ nemesis takes be Back with good memories, my cousin has it on msx and we played it in the late 80's. I really should try to buy his msx collection, but i think he would not be willing to sell 😁 i played nemesis on my c64 few months ago, Good fun. If you thinking about what wii u games you would play in future vlogs, i would really want to see devil's third and your thoughts about it. I think i soo it in your collection 🤔 i'm thinking about getting it, but it goes for big numbers these days, So Maybe your opinion would help me decide to get it or not. And finally, the cats ears in the cam when She was watching the game and then attack was such a great moment 😺 take care and see you in the next one 🍺🎅

'Rust in peace' is such a great album. Think they lost their way a bit after that one. Their later albums were never as good as the first few they did
I agree matey, this seems the case with most bands... After album 5 or 6 they seem to go off the boil so to speak......
Metamorphic Force is a great old school arcade beat em' up if you haven't given it a play!

So I think the third icon across the top of your Spectrum book looks like the main graphic from Chuckie Egg? My best guess
It's alphabetical so yes. 5th is Exolon, 6th Finders Keepers all the way through to Z for Zub.

Pheenix, for the ZX Spectrum, is a great clone of Phoenix, otherwise Demon Attack for Atari 2600, is actually better, i think, than Atari's port of Phoenix. GORF, great, too. In Gradius, try passing through, between the volcano during level one, hopefully a bonus should be awarded. Got to add, 'Rust in Peace,' by Megadeath, I really like that album. I didn't comment on 'Little OG's, T-shirt, in the previous V-Log,' could be depicting 'Tornado of Souls' by Megadeath, another track from 'Rust in Peace.' Btw I still have a ' (Compact) Cassette edition of 'Rust in Peace, it's been played a lot, so it functions but is a bit worn out.
Do like me a bit of Megadeth and have quite a few rare picture disc vinyls of theirs too. Will give Demon Attack a look on the VCS as sounds as though its worthy of a look 😉 Phoenix on the speccy was a rather decent conversion as I recall 😎🍺

If you have never tried metal gear solid 4 its well worth a try probably the best ps3 game in my opinion

If you're in the market for an interesting switch game, I can recommend evil tonight. It's a survival horror very much in the classic rezi evil style but has pixel based graphics. Annoyingly, it doesn't have a hard copy release as yet. But very interesting none the less. The only other pixel based survival horror I know of is corpse party (also recommended) that games the reason I gave evil tonight a look.
They sound interesting titles matey.... They PC games? Or downloadable on SWITCH too?
@OGDuffy evil tonight, as far as I'm aware, is switch download only. Corpse party was originally psp although I believe its also got an android release. There were a couple of sequels as well. The 2nd game was more of a first-person dungeon crawler. The 3rd returned to a top-down aspect, although that had polygonal graphics. That was released on Vita and android and possibly on other systems as well. Evil tonight plays like rezi evil. Where as corpse party is more along the lines of the project zero style of survival horror. Pretty much what you would expect if the ring (movie) was a survival horror game. Speaking of movies that have a similar survival horror type game. The games obscure and its sequel obscure aftermath play very much as if the movie "the faculty" was turned into a videogame as well.
